@EastMidRailway just booked tickets for my trip & not come up with a reserved seat usually comes up with one.

@swtrains_watch Exactly, not knowing what to expect & coming from a direction I haven't come into Blackheath. Exactly, we were glad it stayed dry with rain earlier in the day. Yes, it was rather a shock to see the decorations are still up. You're very welcome 😊.

@Rail_Complainer Nature, the city, and the Thames - the GMT is such a brilliant route of contrasts! 🏙️🌿 Winter sun too! Seeing Christmas decorations in mid-January is somewhat surreal... To think spring is just around the corner in a few weeks. Thanks for sharing!🙌

@swtrains_watch some parts were rather slippery. Wasn't sure what to expect as there had been fair amount of rain recently & December being cold & dark. Glad it ended up being a good last walk of the year 😊.

@swtrains_watch You're very welcome 😊. Yes very good route. Done most of the eastern side all but Falconwood to both meet the Thames near Thamesmead & Erith brances which we haven't done. On the western side Grove Park to either Dulwich or Nunhead we haven't done either. Glad weather held as 1/

@swtrains_watch @mdav15 @Heidi_Labour @SW_Help Exactly, some won't check & wonder why it costs extra / can't use certain tickets on journeys they've made before / why certain tickets are no longer available. I think be careful what you wish for as it may not be a good thing / cost more (hidden rises).

@swtrains_watch @mdav15 @Heidi_Labour @SW_Help Also, add the evening peak fare when previously off-peak all day after the morning peak. Plus trains 9AM are now peak when they weren't before.

@Rail_Complainer Thanks for sharing, RC! There’s something so peaceful about being by the water. Looks like a lovely autumn walk, hopefully you dodged the showers we’ve had lately! Hard to believe in a few months those trees will be green again.🌿

Last weekends #RCsAdventures takes us along the Grand Union Canal through #Southall, #Northolt & #Greenford with some surprises along the way. Some sort of Ball caught up. @swtrains_watch
