Today, I journeyed to an obscure part of the Capitol basement to see the long-awaited plaque honoring the police officers who defended Congress and America against Trump’s insurrectionary mob on January 6, 2021. The SAVE Act isn't about voter ID, it's about creating barriers to voting — rejecting military IDs, forcing seniors to find their birth certificate or buy a passport. They want to force millions of people to re-register to vote because they think that’s the only way they can win.
