I am impressed with @Trae_ai I’ve used competitors for a while now, I can confidently say Trae is my new favorite daily driver. Not only is it quick, it’s stylish! I love the way it looks, refreshing to work in and extremely responsive. #Trae_Spotlight
@Costco is a mess with their support systems. I went to the store to buy a @CYBERPOWERPC that wasn’t even there???? They said they had one in stock arrived at the store and it was a return unit that they couldn’t sell??? 2 hour drive wasted…
@AmazonHelp How does this happen? It was supposed to come on Monday, waited 2 days. Contacted support as it was late, they told me if it doesn’t come by May 9th they will make it right. Today is 10th and I just got this. I could’ve just went to a local store and bought them 😅
@NickVlahos13@thedarkhog@wol_lay Godot, Unity, or UE all would work well for voxel games. Each engine would require the developer to put many optimization techniques into play here. Godot is still early in development but it can 100% do voxels especially since the engine is open source.
@thedarkhog@wol_lay Godot would not cut it.
I’m using the thing and it has nothing for large scale culling for voxel shit and I imagine UE and unity has way better shit
I'm trying out Unreal Engine 5 to see if I can use it for Cube World Omega. So far it looks promising. I'm still trying to get the look and feel right. Next I want to add small details (grass, flowers, fences etc.) and finally creatures.
@TheTrigen@thedarkhog@wol_lay Sure it’s a tool, but even game engines have specific use cases. UE is most optimized for shooters specifically FPS and TPS, it can make 2D games but it’s not optimized for it. I’m not saying you can’t use it for 2D but it’s not ideal.
@thedarkhog@wol_lay its just a tool.. UE is great at even making 2D games... And unity makes one dumb decission after another. noone trust them anymore. Godot ? Sure but that thing is not really Finished game engine YET. lot of features missing. Lot of things hard to do, lot of thing to work around.
@Cartidise All we need is for the option for us to change out components ourselves, with nvme m2 slots being so thin there is no more excuses and same for RAM. For software it should be more open source… apple says it will hinder their ability to create links between software and hardware
@elonmusk@Tesla@TeslaCharging We need a virtual line system for superchargers. People fighting over spots at full chargers shouldn't be a thing... Create a system where it only allows you to plug in when it's your turn if the charger is full.
@Entroprox I think many people forgot who sources apple their iPhone displays... Samsung. So I don't think Samsung copied apple if they made the display in the first place
@1Password Is it possible to get the 50% off coupon for the year on a family subscription? I had families free from an org account but no longer have that option, I'd love to resubscribe but am just weighing my choices.
@NR_NaYem007@jmwilt21 Swapping to pixel from my iPhone 11 Pro, much better experience so far in my opinion. I’m only keeping my iPhone as a dev device but that’s it. It is super buggy now and has slowed down, battery health is at 68% with average daily usage
@jmwilt21 The performance is poor thats mean if someone to use this phone for like 3 years it will surely lag and stutter talking from the experience of using older android vs older iphone ..raw cpu power seems to works wonder after a few years ..and 8gen2 has more raw power
Here I have my Xiaomi 13 Ultra powered by the snapdragon 8g2 processor, which is very highly praised. The 13 Ultra is one of the best performing flagships of the year due to its impressive cooling system.
In a couple days I will have my Pixel 8 Pro powered by Tensor G3. Initial benchmarks are saying that performance is similar to the snapdragon 8g1 or even worse.
According to many people in the tech community, Tensor is trash and should be nowhere near a $1000 phone. I'm going to find out for myself if Tensor's low benchmarks really make the device inferior to other flagships.
🚀🚀With ARDK 3.0 public beta 4 we now have feature parity with ARDK 2.
🗣️This release adds model preloading, semantic channel suppression, and more!

@AxonFluxStudio@FuckedByUnity Fellow developer here also hurt by Unity. We've been using Unity for over 10+ years and this massive change pushed us to the edge. We are swapping to godot starting monday, I've been tinkering with it in my free time and it's an incredible engine!
We want to acknowledge the confusion and frustration we heard after we announced our new runtime fee policy. We’d like to clarify some of your top questions and concerns:
Who is impacted by this price increase: The price increase is very targeted. In fact, more than 90% of our customers will not be affected by this change. Customers who will be impacted are generally those who have found a substantial scale in downloads and revenue and have reached both our install and revenue thresholds. This means a low (or no) fee for creators who have not found scale success yet and a modest one-time fee for those who have.
Fee on new installs only: Once you meet the two install and revenue thresholds, you only pay the runtime fee on new installs after Jan 1, 2024. It’s not perpetual: You only pay once for an install, not an ongoing perpetual license royalty like a revenue share model.
How we define and count installs: Assuming the install and revenue thresholds are met, we will only count net new installs on any device starting Jan 1, 2024. Additionally, developers are not responsible for paying a runtime fee on:
- Re-install charges - we are not going to charge a fee for re-installs.
- Fraudulent installs charges - we are not going to charge a fee for fraudulent installs. We will work directly with you on cases where fraud or botnets are suspected of malicious intent.
- Trials, partial play demos, and automation installs (devops) charges - we are not going to count these toward your install count. Early access games are not considered demos.
- Web and streaming games - we are not going to count web and streaming games toward your install count either.
- Charity-related installs - the pricing change and install count will not be applied to your charity bundles/initiatives.
