@mrosazza Former Colorado educator here- add to that the fact that social studies is not tested in each grade so it’s last on the list of To-do’s. Districts are not held accountable and schools are not held accountable for those scores like English/Language Arts, math and science.

Why do Colorado children know little about civics or the Constitution? Because the Democrats changed the rules. Colorado’s social studies transformation began with HB 19-1192 in 2019, which required standards to emphasize the history, culture, and contributions of specific identity groups, including LGBTQ people. Progressive NGOs—ACLU of Colorado and League of Women Voters affiliates backed by the Soros Open Society Foundations funding—lobbied aggressively, supplied testimony, and shaped the language. The 2022 State Board standards locked the mandate in; HB25-1149 in 2025 added dedicated woke history standards. Classroom minutes are limited. Time once spent drilling the Constitution and Bill of Rights was redirected to equity frameworks and selective narratives. Older students still know the founding documents; many younger ones do not. Foundational civic knowledge was deliberately displaced by ideology. They are creating a generation of woke imbeciles. Soldiers for their revolution! #copolitics

The most generous country in the world 25% of all Mexicans live in the US. 70% rely on welfare. ~10% of Guatemalans live here. 77% are on welfare. 12% of Nicaraguans live here. 75% rely on welfare. 12% of Haitians live here. 53% rely on welfare.

THE U.S. HAS 3X MORE IMMIGRANTS THAN ANY OTHER COUNTRY ON EARTH. 1 of 6 immigrants on the planet live here. No other major developed nation comes close. The outcome is clear: the U.S. absorbs a disproportionate share of global migration & ~9/10 new jobs go to them right now.

NEW: @ICEgov arrested a Johns Hopkins University employee at Baltimore/Washington International Airport. @DHSgov says Fatima Ameaka, a citizen of Cameroon, entered the U.S. legally on a visa in June 2023 but remained in the country after it expired in June 2024. She was arrested July 28th and remains in ICE custody pending removal proceedings. Johns Hopkins says Ameaka works at its Bloomberg School of Public Health and that the university is providing her with support, including access to legal representation.

American Association of University Professors is a captured organization - antizionists methodically over the course of two decades took it over, committee by committee, rescinded its historical opposition to academic boycotts to empower anti-Israel boycott, and now is openly endorsing anti-Israel leftist candidates.

Today, @AAUP is proud to endorse @AbdulElSayed for Michigan's next US Senator. This is the first endorsement in our 110 year history. Abdul understands the crisis in higher education and how we can build for what comes next! #College4All insidehighered.com/news/governmen…

Trump’s secret police force is still terrorizing our communities. They’re opening up a facility nobody’s asked for in Hudson. They’re still patrolling streets, wearing masks, and arresting folks without judicial warrants. We’ll keep fighting until they get a complete overhaul or they’re shut down.

The President made it clear today that the so-called Anti Weaponization Fund is still alive, which is exactly why we are attempting to formally end it. While I never disagreed that the Biden Administration pursued a number of vindictive prosecutions related to January 6, the criminals who assaulted police officers and defiled our nation’s Capitol are not “great American patriots” who are “victims of government abuse.” Anyone who attacked law enforcement should still be in prison, not getting a check from the federal government. Senator Cornyn and I have been working with Acting AG Todd Blanche to end the Anti Weaponization Fund, and he has been forthright, thoughtful and patient. It’s a shame his confirmation has hit a snag only because an incompetent personal advisor to the President refuses to amend the bogus settlement. I will continue working in good faith to put an end this legal and political albatross and prevent any potential misallocation of taxpayer dollars.

President Trump still talking up the $1.776 billion anti-weaponization fund that has snarled Todd Blanche's nomination to AG.

WATCH: 'CBS Mornings' co-hosts argue the thousands flooding into Spainish territory from Morocco are likely just wanting a better life and desperate for change.... VLADIMIR DUTHIERS: So, we just got a statement from the Prime Minister of Spain, who says that they’re speeding up repatriation of the migrants who have entered Cueta, irregularly since yesterday. But – and we should note that a country has the right and the obligation to control its borders – MORALES: Right. DUTHIERS: – but when you watch thousands of people like you’re watching here on your screens – BURLESON: Right. DUTHIERS: – willing to risk their death, willing to risk drowning just for the chance of a better life, it’s also worth asking, “What are they running for?” MORALES: Right. BURLESON: That is true. MORALES: And this is part of Spain – Cueta – this is like a 10-mile swim – DUTHIERS: – right. MORALES: – as well. So, you imagine the degree of danger involved. Look at these little kids on floaters out there. It’s horrific. DUTHIERS: You have to think to yourself – MORALES: Right. DUTHIERS: – no one wakes up and says, “Today I want to risk my life swimming to another country.” BURLESON: Yeah. DUTHIERS: People only do that when they feel the alternative is worse. MORALES: Absolutely, in desperation. BURLESON: Yep, well said.

Everyone is talking about Spain. Meanwhile, in December 2023, the U.S. was averaging around 10,000 illegal border crossings a day. Not in one day, every single day. This wasn't someone else's crisis. It was ours. We still aren't seeing anywhere close to the level of deportations needed to deal with all the damage of what happened. We must demand the government do more!

Dear Wisconsin, Francesca Hong is a communist. Hong has called for “Abolishing the Senate” and “Abolishing ICE.” She describes abolishing the police and prisons as her long-term goal. She wants the government to take control of industry and to restrict how much money a person can earn. Please don't make this woman your governor.

Today marks 61 years of Medicare & Medicaid. Sadly, Republicans passed a $1T cut to these crucial programs & are looking for more ways to gut them—breaking that 61 yr promise. But I'm still fighting. Families like mine & yours deserve the basic dignity of care when we need it.

U.S. Rep. Brittany Pettersen
61 years ago, Medicare and Medicaid became law— a promise for a Great Society, and that no American should go without care just because they can't afford it. But Republicans broke that promise. Trump's "Big Beautiful Lie" cuts $625 billion from Medicaid, the largest cuts in its history. I've heard from Coloradans like Melissa, whose 81-year-old mother is a lung cancer survivor kept alive by supplemental oxygen.  I stand with Melissa, her mom, and the many other families who are struggling. We must reverse these devastating cuts and get back to supporting the American people.
