Maybe the Obama's overlooked my personal invite to the premiere.🤔🤣 Seriously, the film far exceeded my expectation! Exposes various 60's civil rights dirty laundry issues! Thought I was watching an episode of Goodfather of Harlem. Bravo! dcwhistleblower.wixsite.com/whistleblower-…

@STATter911 @OUC_DC Solution: personal funds and multiple trips to Home Depot for a mountain of steel wool and silicone caulk, shutting down every visible entry point myself.

@STATter911 @OUC_DC Brings back infuriating memories: I faced relentless reprimands simply for daring to address DCPS egregious health and safety violations, one such as active rodent and snake holes in our pre-K classrooms where babies slept🤦🏾‍♂️

Important: Testimony before the DC Council yesterday should have you questioning everything you’ve ever heard from DC911/@OUC_DC's director. Former DC Fire & EMS Department Medical Director Dr. Robert P. Holman and former Chief of Staff Amy Mauro lifted the curtain. They showed us how important medical decisions by Dr. Holman were overruled or ignored by the 911 director, resulting in poor performance by DC911. Chief John Donnelly frequently reminds the public that his department runs the third-largest health care agency in the city. What Holman and Mauro show is that running that health care agency is hampered by the 911 director ignoring crucial medical advice and the medical director being unable to verify the quality assurance of EMS calls handled by DC911. Emergency call-taking and dispatching are crucial components of EMS. The medical director must be making these key medical decisions. If you want a 911 center that properly and effectively handles 911 calls, it should be in the hands of the person legally and ethically responsible for pre-hospital patient care. Support the bill submitted by @CMBrookePinto, @Janeese4DC, and @AnitaBondsDC, that puts the medical director fully in charge of EMS. If you like the continued failed coordination between the two agencies, prefer the status quo, and want to protect the turf and egos at OUC, then Director Heather McGaffin’s ridiculous new plan is for you. In her testimony yesterday, McGaffin said she suddenly wants her very own medical director at OUC. One that she can control. Yesterday’s hearing proved that Director McGaffin is really bad at following doctors’ orders. Here is some of the testimony from yesterday, starting with Amy Mauro and Dr. Holman. Then my testimony, followed by the IAFF’s Robert McClintock and David Hoagland. The last video is the questioning by Council member Brooke Pinto, the chair of the Committee on the Judiciary and Public Safety. #FixDC911 @CMRobertWhiteDC @CMZParker5 @chenderson @charlesallen @ChmnMendelson @BrianneKNadeau @CMFrumin @CMWendellFelder @donicrawford @kpattdc @dclinenews @tomsherwood @NFTC_News @RamirezReports @SegravesNBC4 @ANCCostello @SmithSteiner @johnson4b06 @Evan_Yeats @ANCJonah @MayorBowser @SafeDC @theHillisHome @PoPville @dccrimefacts @abeaujon @SchreiberSara @CapitalJeff @Brightwoodian @ODCA_DC @IAFF36 @dcpoliceunion @jennygathright @tednbc4 @Tenleytown411 @6Min2Live @MattGregoryNews @DCNewsNow @danyagainor @LiannaGoldenTV @KatieLusso @IAFFofficial

Bowser’s decade-long culture of fear and retaliation paralyzed the system: people are too fearful to speak candidly, take risks or be innovative because their livelihoods are on the line; thus, real solutions never take root. Unequivocally, our new mayor MUST overhaul central office, starting with immediately replacing the chancellor, and consistently signal that Bowser's reign of terror is over and will not be tolerated anywhere in the district--esp. in DC schools.

George is correct to highlight chronic absenteeism as a critical issue in DC schools but these solutions are terrible and involve no accountability for students, families, or schools — it's just random slop unrelated to the problem.

If the Board of Ed had more authority, they wouldn't be obscure! But JLG point is bigger: DC is the only jurisdiction in the country where one person (the mayor) appoints the chancellor of the city’s school district and the state superintendent of education, who is supposed to oversee the school district--meaning there is no independent oversight of the schools! The opportunity for overlooking problems, creating scandals is huge--and has been taken multiple times. Think the graduation scandal. The suspension scandal. The failure to address teacher turnover. She's right. It will help our schools! ;washingtoncitypaper.com/article/607146…

As the parent of a D.C. public school student, I absolutely do not want our board of education, whose obscure members are chosen in extremely low-turnout races, to have more power.
Martin Austermuhle@maustermuhle

Interesting: In her responses, @Janeese4DC says the D.C. State Board of Education should gain more independent authority than it currently has. She also wants to see the D.C. Council's education committee restored. No response on whether she would replace the current chancellor.

Let’s talk about what both candidates refused to: the elephant in the room—RelayGate. @dcpublicschools worst scandal, one that devastated thousands of Black elem. children east of the river, and still not a word! Both candidates came to a Ward 8 forum pretending like it never happened. As at-large, McDuffie chose to protect Bowser’s corruption instead of our children. He rolled into Ward 8 talking about fighting Trump, after years of complicit silence while Bowser and DCPS insiders ran a pay‑to‑play scheme that segregated, harmed, and exploited our schools and kids for profit—and that’s not speculation, it’s PROVEN. I dare every candidate to finally address the cover‑up. Enough silence. Enough betrayal.

New: DC's simmering mayoral race reached a boil this weekend. After weeks of taking a few potshots at each other in interviews, Janeese Lewis George and Kenyan McDuffie clashed repeatedly the first time they shared a debate stage Saturday. The big divide was over utility bills:

Morning! Everything I say is public record. In 2020, Councilmember Trayon White met with me and the school principal—after the principal had already sounded the alarm in 2019 about Relay’s known racist (school-to-prison) practices, forced segregation, and ethics violations by the DCPS superintendent. Trayon even wrote to @DCPSChancellor about it (he posted the letter) and stood by us when DCPS vehemently retaliated against us and when we all were ultimately fired 5yrs later, DCPS superintendent admits to 25 ethics violations, coercing principals (pay-to-play) and dual employment ( independent contractor of Relay) 6yr later, not one current or former at-large member has dared to acknowledge or speak up about the coverup. SHAME Thousands of Black children east of the river were harmed—and OUR CHILDREN don’t get a do‑over. I've sent McDuffie and his staff too many emails. He has chosen to protect Bowser over protecting our children. SHAME! Plz share with another McDuffie supporter. open.substack.com/pub/mbray01/p/…

@1776ADOS @maustermuhle I’m glad your council member spoke on the dais. In 2020, what did he and his office do about your issue? I know that he spoke up but what else did he do?

@WardOneTroll @a_r_marshall I signed McDuffie’s petition and many others; it doesn't guarantee my vote. I’ve donated to several candidates, but that doesn’t mean they’re my first, second, or even third choice.

Political rivals in a heated debate is fine. WHY has Kenyan McDuffie, and ALL at-large crew remained silent? They chose silence to protect Bowser and her admin.—NOT OUR KIDS. That's a sellout! I will testify that McDuffie along with ALL at-large members are "sellouts." RelayGate wasn’t a mistake. It was a deliberate scheme under Bowser in 2020. 2025, DCPS leadership ADMITTED to ethics violations, coercing Black principals outta vital school fund, and self enrichment tied directly to RelayGate.

@1776ADOS @SamPKCollins @Janeese4DC @kenyanmcduffie Walking off stage to talk to your supporters is not abnormal. No issue with that behavior. Also, checking someone that calls you a “sellout” is necessary b/c if you don’t do it the behaviors will continue…They know each other. They grew up here. Worked together. So, let’s go.

Councilmember Trayon White wasthe ONLY elected official with the guts to confront RelayGate head-on. In 2020, he stood on the dais and defended DCPS whistleblowers while DC govt. tried to bury us. * Ward 7’s Vincent Gray chose silence. * Every at-large councilmember chose silence. * When McDuffie got his at-large seat, he joined the silence—and he’s still hiding there. WHY? * To cover up the damage Bower admin. did to thousands of Black children * cover up the known coersion of $$ from principals, and * cover up how DCPS senior leaders were enriched off of Black bodies, families, and schools in Ward 7 and Ward 8. If you're ready for the UGLY truth--I'm here to discuss. open.substack.com/pub/mbray01/p/…

@1776ADOS @maustermuhle 🎤 Comment is displaced. This is why there are council members for those wards. That’s who should be held accountable. Unfortunately, both council members east of the river in wards 7 and 8 had terms that were interrupted. One was ill and one was indicted. Call their offices.

McDuffie showed up in Ward 8 talking tough about fighting Trump — after years of complicit silence as an at-large councilmember while Bowser and DCPS insiders deliberately segregated, exploited, and defrauded thousands of Ward 7 and 8 children through a pay‑to‑play scheme benefiting senior officials. That corruption has been exposed, proven yet NO accountability. I dare ANY candidate to confront the cover‑up! youtu.be/DFQjJ2V5e9Q?si…
