@msipes @thejefflutz @WilliamShatner I have a Model Y RWD for about 2 years, not even once did a supercharging stop takes more than 15 mins, you don't charge to 100%, you charge to have just enough to reach your next stop. Model Y RWD charge rate only peak around 170kW, compare to 250 kW for Model X.

I just don’t get what people don’t understand about wanting more miles. Currently Model X gets 330 miles. And we all know that’s BS. It’s more like 260-270. On top of that when to leave sentry mode on it loses quit a bit per day. Then you lose 10% of your batter capacity within a year. My 2023 max out at 276 miles now. So now in reality I get 230-240. Then they say to charge to 80%. So there it goes down to 248 miles. So you’re getting 200-210 on reality. Guess what? Families drive a lot taking kids around and don’t always have time to stop for 30 mins to super charge.

@AustinH777 @3sloth3 the keyfob was inside the car. we just briefly stopped to look around and didn't even intend to lock the car. the car locked by itself. arguably a vehicle should maybe not lock itself if the key is inside

Our rental Tesla left us stranded on the side of the road for 3+ hours. We stopped to admire the scenery and once we came back to the car, we found out it was auto locked. We had no cellular reception. Tesla app said "Unlock failed. Check internet connection".

You’re given $2m. You have 20 minutes to spend it. You can’t spend it on cars, airplanes, yacht or a house. You can’t spend it on golds or diamonds either. What will you buy??

Besides sweeping streets and cleaning drains or public toilets, those convicted of littering may now also be ordered to trim trees as part of their community service, says Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming. Nga says 42 notices were issued during New Year’s Eve celebrations, involving 24 Malaysians and 18 foreigners, including two children whose parents or guardians will be held responsible. “Nobody is above the law, regardless of age or nationality,” he says. 🧵1

🇨🇳 TESLA MODEL Y FALLS OFF 800-METER CLIFF IN CHINA... DRIVER WALKS AWAY This is absolutely insane. A Tesla Model Y plunged off an approximately 800-meter cliff in China, tumbling down a mountainside. The vehicle was completely destroyed, windows shattered, body mangled beyond recognition. But the A- and B-pillars held. The passenger cabin didn't collapse. The battery didn't ignite. The driver suffered only minor injuries. Rescue crews had to dismantle the wreckage to recover the vehicle. Local reports are calling it a "miracle of survival." This is what happens when a car is engineered with safety as a priority, not an afterthought. Tesla's rigid structural design and low center of gravity from the battery placement aren't just marketing points. They're the reason this driver is alive. 800 meters is over 2,600 feet. That's not a fender bender. That's falling off a mountain. Most vehicles would have become a coffin. The Model Y became a survival pod. Source: @elonmusk / @ray4tesla

What's impressive about this whole thread is it's written by Rozanna using the unpaid version of twitter. My marhaen soul feel connected reading it. Proper grammar and spelling under the constraints of time and space of 280 characters.

Judge Collin Sequerah has begun delivering his verdict. #1MDB - so far, has found the four abuse of charges were not faulty and that Najib was not prejudiced in the trial - multiple witnesses described Low as close to Najib who gave directions to 1MDB officials on his behalf

I don’t understand how you can own a Tesla and not use FSD! I see so many Tesla owners driving manually when there’s honestly no need. It changes your life—the data shows it’s a 7x improvement in avoiding accidents.

Adam Jonas once used to have a $0.67 split adjusted price target for $TSLA AND now he’s callin it. Like him or not, he’s finally seeing what long term believers saw yrs ago. TBH, this is a sign of a great investor. That is, being able to adapt when the facts change, when technologies evolve. If the smart ones like Adam are starting to get it now. Many other people on WS will begin to follow. He has motion. And he started to get it when he bought a new Tesla. The technology and product spoke to him. Now he’s on the greener side. LFG. 🔥

Morgan Stanley's Adam Jonas in new $TSLA note: "I'm callin' it. Autonomous cars are solved. Do I mean six or seven 9's to the right of the decimal? No. Perfection? Never. But enough to pull the safety driver at scale in major metros." "From our discussions with @Tesla, it appears the only thing preventing Tesla from pulling the driver is its own abundance of caution. Our understanding is that there is no other explicit regulatory approval required to pull drivers in Texas. A passive optical-only AV system would seriously challenge the conventional thinking of many in the robotaxi community. Tesla truly believes that radar and LIDAR do not make its cars any safer. It is our longstanding opinion that if you solve autonomy for cars – you solve autonomy for many other form factors of AI-enabled robotics (aviation, marine, weapons, etc). Tesla will have around 8 million vehicles in the global 'parc' by year-end. 12% FSD penetration (paying monthly subs and upfront purchasers) implies 1mm active paying users. If we were to apply the $99/month subscription fee to all users (including upfront payers for comparative equivalency) implies approx $300mm of quarterly FSD revenue or $1.2bn annualized FSD revenue at a year-end exit rate. Assuming an 85% margin would imply approx $1bn of EBIT... accounting for 15 to 20% of total company EBIT. Highly profitable, highly reoccurring."
