@NeonVintage_arg @av2mu @BEEFONABIKE @sameQCU Cool. You sound intelligent and have thrived despite being untreated. Now just imagine what you might have achieved in those 20 yrs if your adhd had been treated. It’s not too late to get treatment.
English

@av2mu @BEEFONABIKE @sameQCU I just dropped out, learned a profession by myself and was hired by a company that was asking for people with a college degree, which I didnt need, I just showed up, did a test and scored 100/100 and was hired immediately and been working there for 20 years now.

@StableSavant @bledwine @UziCryptoo My nephew is renting a room in a 5BR house in Roxbury for $1700/month. 🤯
English

@bledwine @UziCryptoo Roommates and you can chop that by at least half. Living alone has always been a luxury.
English

@ElieJarrougeMD @timber1258 My friend has had high BP since she was in her early 20s, despite being fit and average weight. She was told it was genetic.
English

Good job! Sometimes BP is the last to improve. If you still have more to go with weight loss or your insulin isn’t as low as it should, just be patient. The other thing could be that target strict control isn’t really necessary and when you start reduce meds, you may find BP remaining stable. It takes careful monitoring and adjustment.

@AlexObviousV1 @bluewmist Thru luck/grace of God, I’m the only one in my family w/o some kind of substance issue.
Cigarettes were mine-I gave up 25 yrs ago w/help of meds. Replacement behaviors are incredibly helpful plus “avoiding the near occasion of sin” and good mental health hygiene/therapy/support
English

@bluewmist I’m not 100% sober but very rarely drink and partake of nothing else.
A calming end of day for me includes: reading or watching a show wrapped in a blanket on the sofa with my cat, doing NYT puzzles, a fire in the fireplace, maybe a cup of decaf tea or coffee and some cookies.

@brownrobin64 @pcdebol @SaveStandard @KimTayl20716792 Because it’s is natural time that best aligns with our internal clocks. It is much better for health.
English

@MatthewCappucci Ok, you were wrong. But now you have the benefit of hindsight. Given you did NOT have that benefit of hindsight yesterday when schools were using your information (and others) to make decisions, why do you think it was wrong to take a more conservative approach?
English

I tried to take this same approach doing TV… admitting faults live on air was a risky gamble, especially when I was 23-24 in D.C.
But part of being a scientist is being transparent when a hypothesis (forecast) is not correct. Science has no room for ego.

the best in the biz - can you imagine how much better the world would be if everyone owned their mistakes and learned from them like this? Thank you for the explanation @MatthewCappucci
English

@TansuYegen I stayed at an Airbnb like this during summer in SC. They had the air conditioning locked on 73 🤮

@LocalFamily Hello, Rob. Our apologies for the extended hold times. If you are still needing assistance, feel free to send us her confirmation number in a DM! - Connor twitter.com/messages/compo…

@niswarth @vipintukur Nope. No more lockdowns. Anywhere. Ever. For any disease. Let Darwin lead the way. Hemorrhagic fever? Antibiotic resistant infections? Fck them kids. Let it roll and watch em drop like flies.
English

@vipintukur Ofcourse, people will soon forget or would've forgotten what happened to them in 2020-21 in the name of a virus.
Another set of lockdowns is just another variant of concern away.

A NEW review examines how COVID-19 may affect memory and cognitive function.
➡️ Evidence suggests that inflammation in the brain, activation of immune cells called microglia, and possible vascular injury can disrupt normal brain signaling.
➡️ These changes may contribute to symptoms such as brain fog and memory problems seen in some people after COVID-19.
➡️ Further research is needed to better understand these mechanisms and develop effective treatments.

@SenRandPaul All this to avoid admitting that covid is airborne. All they needed were N95 masks.

The pseudoscience of Anthony Fauci.

The Covid era will be studied as one of the most ridiculous periods in recent history.

@capitalweather I feel like this post is a nudge at school superintendents.

The response to yesterday’s post about opening @KaufCare has been incredible.
After 20 years in the ER I saw the same thing every shift: Patients waiting forever. Ridiculous bills.
Frustrating for patients & docs. Too many middlemen.
That’s why we’re trying a different model.
English

@KristiLeighTV @markmaggiore Why would God keep baby and mother connected if we have to cut it?
English

@RockyMcg @washingtonpost We in our 50s. Zero student debt. Never had it. Nope. It’s the health care costs. It’s insane.
English

@washingtonpost Healthcare costs? lol. Maybe getting a 100K+ student loan debt as soon as you graduate high school along with housing costs being so ridiculously high has something to do with it.
English

Americans are driving less, skipping meals and putting off big life moves, like buying homes or having children, to keep up with health care costs, according to two Gallup polls. wapo.st/4sdN6Q4

@ben_nick_syder @amdissident84 @mr_jay_pea Yes and no. Our internal biology aligns with the sun. What we are doing at different times of day matters. How much sun we are exposed to and when matters biologically.
English

@ADHDMom5 @amdissident84 @mr_jay_pea Time is a construct anyway. We set it to align with whatever we choose
