I got a chance to interview Jack Dorsey for the Long Strange Trip pod about his new article (in comments) on how to build a modern ai native company in 2026. I took some of his ideas and mixed them with some observations about the hyper scaling ai native CEOs I work with every day. This is a first draft. Thoughts? If this is landing, I can flesh it out more.

This was an amazing talk by @chintanturakhia who leads up AI-Native Engineering @coinbase. Got hyped after watching it. He talks about how Coinbase went all in. Their northstar was intent to prod in less than 4 hours. What they did: - Time from ticket to PR: 8 days to 12 mins - Time to merge: 168 hours to 16 hours - Time to production: 7.8days to 1.8 days They started with 5yr+ legacy codebase, long CI process, etc and Chintan walks through things that they changed along the way to help them move fast. Great takeaways - Unify the context and give it to your agent. This is obvious but the context graph continues to be really important. - Unleash a superbuilder - aka someone to help build the factory. Full talk linked below

✨ 7 years after I set up a Quake III server, I have it running again, but now in the web browser, much easier 😊 👉 q3.pieter.com 👈 Back in 2019 we'd play a fork of Quake III called OpenArena in a Bali villa with @daniellockyer @marckohlbrugge @dannypostmaa @lenilsonjr_ @gvrizzo @AndreyAzimov @SeanParkRoss and other ppl But it broke after a new Mac update and they never really fixed it, it kinda sucked because it was actually the only game we could just load with friends online and play death match a bit and then continue your day Luckily @lukathedev built Q3JS which successfully compiles ioquake3 to WebAssembly and now it works in the browser To make it extra simple, I've set up a Q3JS server and frontend for you to use at q3.pieter.com, which loads you straight into the game A big problem is that most of the times, nobody's playing, so I've also added Web Notifications, which notifies you if enough human players join, so you can join a match. And I've added a daily match at 8 PM GMT every day which everyone also gets notified when it starts If you want more servers and maps etc, you can check out @lukathedev's own q3js.com HAPPY FRAGGING

🔫 I set up an OpenArena DM server (free version of Q3), if you wanna join: server is 128.199.152.194, download OpenArena for Win/Mac/Linux @ openarena.ws

@JamesMontemagno @jthake select audio inputs (mac & mic) and have a visual audio input indicator in the status bar on the top. Add webcam recording and display webcam avatar in a corner which can be recorded separately for easy post editing. Separate audio streams for pc and mic input. LOVE THIS already

I recently finished a project to move the @Cloudflare dashboard to @rspack_dev with it finally hitting production today. The performance gains have been incredible, 30x faster builds and 60x faster HMR times. It's made our lives so much easier, several engineers have come up to me thinking the dev server was broken because it was so fast! But my favorite feedback was this reply I just got where the faster dev experience made this fellow engineer's day less frustrating by removing the need to wait around for webpack. If the webpack codebase you're maintaining is suffering from performance issues, please give @rspack_dev a try! For the ~20 hours I spent on this project I expect we'll save 1000 hours across the entire company over the next year.

If you're curious why LLM inference is different from regular model inference (and why we've seen so much investment in specialized LLM inference engines like vLLM, SGLang, and TensorRT-LLM), I had a lot of fun talking through some of the main ideas here.

I am the current maintainer of Stylus. The Stylus library has been flagged as malicious lib, which has caused many lib and frameworks that depend on Stylus to fail to install. Please help me retweet this msg in the hope that the npmjs official team will take notice of this issue

I totally misunderstood this page the first time, thinking it some generic "build with ai" nonsense. It's actually the Angular team's personally tested recommendations and prompts to give you better more modern Angular code generation from LLMs. Wow! angular.dev/ai/develop-wit…
