@cvkrishnan The stretch from Cuddalore till Karaikal in NH32 is awesome too. The problem is that for over 10 Years, the Vikravandi - Thanjavur NH 36 isn't completed. The stretch from Vikravandi to Sethiathoppu remains a nightmare to drive. Area with immense tourism potential is neglected

Salem - Thalaivasal stretch and Sethiathopu - Kumbakonam stretch, two of the best National Highways I’ve driven in Tamil Nadu. Non bumpy, the service roads have been barricaded thankfully, cause random ppl crossing with their TVS-50 out of nowhere has been a bane on TN highways.

Yeah. Thats the main reason. Pondicherry hasn't seen much infra projects in the last few decades. There was an article that the NR Congress-BJP alliance is getting strained behind, as Rangasamy's requests have been ignored for many years. We can see no visible progress in Pondy except maybe one or two new bridges here and there.

The Pondicherry government is struggling with the Cuddalore-Chennai railway project.

@arulmuru182002 A quick soln is to use vellore route for salem/Tiruppur/erode/coimbatore and pondicherry to mahabs 4 lane should be completed ASAP, so that some traffic would be reduced.

The first photo shows the termination point of the Nagari-Podatturpettai railway line contract. The paddy fields seen in front of the embankment have all been acquired, and the line up to Sholingur Town shall be taken up from here through a separate contract. The work for the same is expected to start from next month. The second photo shows the construction of the Podatturpettai railway station building, which is expected to be ready in a month. The third and fourth photos show us the scenic paddy fields around the worksite. The 14 km-long rail line contract is expected to be completed by August this year. #IndianRailways #projects

@Ask_PDY @Jailakshman27 A 44 km line connecting Tindivanam and Puducherry was previously surveyed in 2015-16, but did not proceed. A new survey for a Tindivanam-Sedarpet (New Puducherry) line has been taken up to prepare a new DPR. It's still in survey stage.
