CCAMP recently held two enriching workshops for its startups under the Advancement Programme, to strengthen the two critical pillars of a startup growth — effective communication and financial strategy The 2nd cohort of Karnataka Startup Advancement Programme (Phase II) #KSAP and the We-Bio Acceleration Programme (Women Entrepreneurs in Biotechnology), both supported by @ITBTGoK, attended — 1. Storytelling and Pitching for Startups by Ms. Malavika Harita; and 2. Valuation Methods and Strategies by Ms. Ranjani The first session focused on storytelling and pitching, enabling founders to articulate their problem–solution narrative, refine their pitch decks, and communicate their value proposition clearly to investors and customers. The second session focused on startup valuation and funding strategy, providing the founders with a practical understanding of valuation approaches, key financial considerations, and planning for fundraising and sustainable growth. He experienced the vibrant life sciences research and innovation ecosystem through a tour of C-CAMP's state-of-the-art facilities on his first visit to CCAMP. C-CAMP #MedTech #DigitalHealth cohort startup, #Cartosense has installed their first CDSCO-approved device, the C75 Surgical Navigation System, at the Future Brain and Spine Hospital, Palanpur, Gujarat, India. C75 Surgical Navigation System pioneers their proprietary, wide-range single-camera, full-stack optical-tracking technology that minimises chances of view obstruction and gives surgeons more manoeuvring room in any patient position than the currently established double-camera system. Moreover, the Cartosense camera comes with advanced AI/ML-led algorithms to enable reliable and accurate real-time mapping of radiological images onto actual anatomy in-surgery. This enables surgeons to target lesions with high precision, make smaller incisions and avoid local damages to critical areas of the brain, a major issue in complex neurosurgeries. Snapshots from the ongoing Hands-On Training in Omics Research and Analytical Techniques, under the National Skill Development and Training Program, with 30 participants. Day 1 covered lab safety, analytical basics, and the foundations of Mass Spectrometry. #TechnologyForLicensing CCAMP and Institute of Plasma Research (IPR) have jointly filed a patent for their "Cold Atmospheric Plasma-Based (CAP) Air Disinfection Device" The solution addresses limitations of the existing technologies for air purification and is capable of: * Neutralising pathogens * Trapping/removing PM 2.5 and PM 10 particles rendering improved ambient air quality * Faster disinfection and purification of air covering the entire range of pollutants, pathogens, SPM and VoCs. Advantages of the design: * The device has been validated on the ESKAPE range of bacterial pathogens, fungal pathogens and viral organisms by an independent NABL-accredited lab. * The device can be customised as a stand-alone or as an attachment with existing filtration devices and AHU systems. * It is scalable as the cartridge is modular, and the product can be scaled to suit the application area. #Patent secured, one step closer to commercialisation! C-CAMP #DigitalHealth startup in the #MentalHealth space, @Ask_Vyli has been granted a patent by the Indian Patent Office for its non-invasive multimodal technology to identify psychosocial risks such as occupational stress, mental health disorders, sleep disorders, etc. The technology that can screen, flag early risks, and triage will enable better organisation-level governance and regulation measures to address #MentalHealth concerns in communities across large workplaces, educational campuses, and healthcare systems. The technology will facilitate the implementation of the Supreme Court directive in 2025, mandating stronger mental health governance in educational institutions. They are initiating their first deployment with an educational organisation, Bengaluru-based Risaya Academy. C-CAMP startup Fibroheal has secured its 8th patent for a “bilateral wound dressing material and method thereof.” Supported by the @BIRAC_2012 #LEAP Fund, @Fibroheal1 is developing wound care solutions using silk protein, ranging from wound dressings to next-generation formulations such as powders, particles, and ointments. Kicking off the CCAMP - @ANRFIndia + collaboration through a Research Talk on Beyond the Bulk: The New Era of Single-Cell and Spatial Proteomics by Dr. Khatere Motamedchaboki, @thermofisher Dr. Motamedchaboki delved into the next-generation science in Mass-Spec led Proteomics and the cellular level understanding of protein synthesis and metabolism being unlocked by Single Cell and Spatially Resolved Tissue Proteomics. She began by explaining why single-cell analysis in Proteomics is important and how traditional Mass Spectrometry techniques lacked in single cell sensitivity. She touched upon how this once-difficult and highly specialised technique has been democratised by the Thermofisher technology platforms and how one needs research strategies for using single-cell analyses to balance data output against data interpretation.
