After joining as the Consul General of India in Toronto, I visited the Jain Society of Toronto and offered prayers at the temple, reflecting on the timeless values of Ahimsa (non-violence), peace, unity and harmony. @IndiainToronto @HCI_Ottawa @IndianDiplomacy @cgivancouver

Standing firmly with Councillor @DipikaDamerla on crucial motion: “Recognizing Anti-Hindu Hate in Mississauga on Nov 05, 2025. This is a vital step to combat rising bigotry against Hindu Canadians in diverse @citymississauga city. Hindus deserve safety & respect. We urge council to pass this Motion and Acknowledge trauma from hate crimes, empowering community to report without fear. Give a message to Haters, @citymississauga won’t tolerate division. Real incidents demand this motion: Feb 2023: Ram Mandir in Mississauga vandalized with anti-India and pro-Khalistan graffiti, defacing a sacred space. Nov 2023: Gunfire at nearby Hindu Sabha Temple (Brampton/Mississauga border), terrorizing worshippers amid Khalistani tensions. Aug 2024: Vandalism of Ganesha idols & anti-Hindu slurs spray-painted on a Mississauga community hall during festival prep. Nov 2024: Violent attack at Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton (Mississauga border), including clashes that terrorized worshippers. Feb 2025: Threats & harassment against Hindu students at UTM (University of Toronto Mississauga) over “decolonize” protests turning anti-India/Hindu. Sep 2025: Hateful “Indian rats” graffiti found near a children’s park in Mississauga, targeting the Indian/Hindu community and raising safety concerns. Ongoing: Harassment of Hindu students in local schools, plus targeted online misinformation about Hindu events and Festivals (like the one recently about Fireworks), creating fear among families. Together, we build a hate-FREE Mississauga. #AntiHinduHate #HumanRights #hinducanadian #hate #hindu #mississauga @DaskoWard1 @AlvinTedjo @Chris_Fonseca3 @JohnKovac4 @HartNatalieA @JoeHorneck @DipikaDamerla @mattmahoney_8 @personalvictory @SueMcfadden_ @BradWButt @carolynhparrish @CBCNews @CTVNews @GlobalNews @nationalpost @TorontoStar @globeandmail @CityNews @CP24

How long must law-abiding citizens endure this madness? Once again, Khalistani extremists have taken to our streets, staging hateful, violent, and abusive demonstrations against Canadians, even in front of sacred Hindu places of worship. These are not protests, they are acts of provocation by deranged, unlawful, and illiterate individuals spreading venom in our peaceful communities. Are we waiting for a violent tragedy before the law finally acts? How long will these repeat offenders be allowed to spew hate and threaten public safety under the guise of “freedom of expression”? We urge all community members to remain calm and peaceful, do not engage with these troublemakers. Instead, document their actions. Take pictures, record videos, and expose these clowns and their enablers publicly so they may be recognized, isolated, and disowned by society. Enough is enough. It’s time to protect our community, our temples, and our shared Canadian harmony from this ongoing nuisance. @PierrePoilievre @MarkJCarney @csiscanada @melaniejoly @AnitaAnandMP @brianlilley @rupasubramanya @ANI @UN @AnitaAnandMP @CBCNews @CTVNews @globeandmail @TorontoStar @nationalpost @globalnews @davidakin @MercedesGlobal @VassyKapelos @RachelGilmore @mattgurney #cdnpoli #Canada #CommunitySafety #ReligiousFreedom #PublicSafety #Ontario #Toronto #Brampton #ProtectCommunities #PeacefulCommunities

Stand Up for Our Rights: Say NO to Cultural Targeting in @citymississauga Mississauga Mayor @carolynhparrish is once again attempting to ban fireworks, using weak and unsubstantiated excuses. This is her second attempt to suppress a tradition that holds deep cultural and spiritual significance for Hindu Canadians, especially with Navratri and Diwali around the corner. In one of Canada’s most inclusive cities, this proposed ban feels like a direct attack on the Hindu community. Sadly, this isn’t new; the Mayor previously opposed a COVID vaccine camp held at a temple, raising serious concerns about her pattern of targeting faith-based initiatives. 📄 Read the proposed fireworks ban document here: pub-mississauga.escribemeetings.com/filestream.ash… What’s Wrong with This Ban? 1. The rationale behind the fireworks ban is vague, inconsistent, and lacks credible evidence. 2. A small, coordinated group has been used to stir unrest and manufacture complaints, now being weaponized to justify a ban that affects thousands of peaceful celebrants. 3. Hindu Canadian Foundation (HCF) stands firm in defending the rights of Hindu Canadians and declares: "A permanent, full ban is not public policy; it’s a targeted act of exclusion." Join Us in Protest to the Proposed FIREWORKS By-Law: 🗓️ Date: Wednesday, October 1, 2025⏱️ Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM📍 Location: Mississauga City Hall This is about more than fireworks; it’s about democratic rights, cultural dignity, and equal treatment. Let’s raise our voices, stand together, and make it clear: We will not be silenced. We will not be sidelined. Carolyn must listen. SIGN UP NOW: hinducanadian.org/events-1/chalo…

Honourable and Respected Councillors : @DaskoWard1 @AlvinTedjo @Chris_Fonseca3 @JohnKovac4 @HartNatalieA @JoeHorneck @DipikaDamerla @mattmahoney_8 @personalvictory @SueMcfadden_ @BradWButt The Hindu community urges you not to support the racist, illogical, and divisive fireworks ban being aggressively pushed by @carolynhparrish, who appears to be driven more by ego than what is needed. This isn’t just about Mississauga, it’s about standing up for Fundamental Cultural Rights for every Canadian and Hindu Canadians across the country. This proposed ban is undemocratic, culturally insensitive, and deeply exclusionary. We fully support reasonable regulations and enforcement, but an outright ban is unacceptable. We ask you to stand on the side of fairness, inclusion, and common sense.

Memory Refresher @carolynhparrish : Source: The Pointer, January 30, 2023 – Diwali, business interests take centre stage in fireworks debate at Mississauga council •“Councillor Parrish … insists she is trying to advocate … She does not want to see a repeat … she does not want an outright ban so community members can enjoy Diwali celebrations …” •“Councillor Parrish … reiterated the motion before council was not to impose a ban on fireworks, but simply to build on the current by-law which she said was ‘thin.’” •“As far as multicultural population … It’s a request to staff … it’s not banning fireworks.” thepointer.com/article/2023-0… Official City Records: The fireworks discussion appears in the Mississauga City Council meeting agenda from January 18, 2023. @carolynhparrish A blanket ban on fireworks in Mississauga is misguided, divisive, and racist, specifically targeting Hindu Canadians. Fireworks are a joyful tradition tied to national holidays like Canada Day and Victoria Day, as well as cultural celebrations such as Diwali. The issue isn’t fireworks, it’s misuse. Enforce the bylaws. Don’t erase the tradition. Mayor, your support for this ban disregards the cultural and recreational value fireworks hold for thousands, especially within the Hindu community. Many cities address noise and safety through targeted enforcement, not sweeping bans. You and @citymississauga can do the same. If this truly isn’t about culture, then prove it. Introduce smart regulations: time limits, permits, designated zones. Punish offenders, not entire communities. This ban doesn’t solve the problem, it silences celebration and fosters division. We trust you don’t want either. Fix enforcement. Don’t ban tradition. #diwali #fireworks #fireworkqueen #mississauga #banisnotsolution #racism
Mayor Carolyn Parrish@carolynhparrish

@Tashacamp2010 @officialHinduCF @citymississauga @c_nfa Thank you for a very insightful response. You have correctly noted we are addressing noise and safety concerns. This has nothing to do with culture or religious practices otherwise there would be charter challenges in all the cities who have banned random fireworks.

Thank you to the federal government for recognizing the difference between the Nazi Hakenkreuz—a hate symbol—and the Hindu Swastik—a sacred symbol. Hindu groups have worked hard to educate on this, and it’s time we stop confusing the two. Let’s call the Nazi symbol what it is: Hakenkreuz and stop calling it the Swastik. Media must lead the way in making this distinction clear and using the right words. Words matter.
