Gym people…can you recommend a FREE or cheap ish gym app that lets you record your weights and reps etc? I joined one and then it wanted £79 off me and I’m not THAT bothered about recording progress. I sometimes record on paper but app would be handy. TIA.

More colleagues have joined me and @stuartandrew in opposing an NHS puberty-blocker trial on vulnerable children. Medicine should protect, not experiment to satisfy activist dogma. We will not stand for it. @wesstreeting must put a stop to this dangerous trial immediately.

No child is born in the wrong body. I cannot believe we are back to square one, with NHS England backing an experimental trial of puberty blockers on healthy, vulnerable children, ignoring the damage already done. The No1 rule of medicine is "do no harm". This is activist ideology masquerading as research. I'm urging MPs of all parties to sign this letter from me and Shadow Health Secretary @stuartandrew, calling for Wes Streeting to step in and stop this trial before more damage is done to children who are too young to understand what they are doing to themselves.

@LloydCymru Probably about the same time more people struggled with reading and were diagnosed as dyslexic. In my experience white on black is so much better for most dyslexics.....

When were blackboards phased out? I started primary school in 2008 and I don’t remember ever seeing one in a classroom. I have never personally known classrooms to have anything other than whiteboards in them!

I see this argument made quite often and it was actually one of the points made by the UK government under the Conservatives in favour of defining HS2 as “England and Wales”.
It is correct to say that if HS2 goes all the way to Crewe, it will make it slightly quicker for people in North Wales to get to London.
There are a lot of points I could make but for me the most important is that the idea that the only way for Wales to be prosperous is be able to leave it more quickly and go to London is so retrograde.
Infrastructure in Wales desperately needs investment. At the very least we should get what everyone can see we are owed.
£4bn is a hell of a lot of money to get people from north Wales to London faster. We could transform the Welsh network with this.

While this isn't as bad as the first terrible representation – which said it this about tax - there's still a misdirection. As I’ve already stated, in that private conversation I was referring to Labour hoping to make a positive change I’ve been campaigning for, but it didn’t want to lock it in the manifesto as it can’t promise to deliver.
NO party’s manifesto tells the full story. ALL parties have things they hope to do but that aren’t in manifestos – as they can’t guarantee to deliver. The idea that Labour is an outlier for that is preposterous.

HMRC just sent this company a penalty - for £0.01.
Over-automation of penalties is a problem. In this case it just wasted postage. But in other cases it's hurting some of the poorest people in the UK.
