Fragile Art in Motion // Venice Biennale Preview Week 💎 What an incredible two days in Venice. On May 7–8, CityX Foundation opened its doors for a special independent programme during the Venice Biennale Preview Week, bringing together performance, film, digital art, dialogue, music, and many beautiful encounters. Across the Arsenale Pavilion and Garden Pavilion, we welcomed artists, collectors, curators, partners, and friends for a programme filled with energy and exchange: ➤ “Iron Drive” — live performance and installation by Sergey Bratkov ➤ Private screening of “The Hammer” with a special guest - Simon de Pury ➤ Fragile Art roundtable with an inspiring discussion on collecting experimental and boundary-pushing artworks ➤ Digital art presentation by CityX Foundation × ACCOMPART'S ➤ Drinks in the garden, beautiful music, and warm conversations late into the evening with Spark Art Fair Vienna Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported the programme, shared your thoughts, and became part of this fragile moment with us. 💎 “Polina” in the CityX Collection Bratkov’s work often moves between observation and exposure, capturing moments where identity is still forming, yet already shaped by invisible social structures. In his iconic Kids series, children are not simply subjects, but carriers of early codes -gestures, expressions, and roles that reflect the environments they grow into. Works from this series are held in major institutional collections, including the Pinault Collection (e.g. Zhenya, 2000), highlighting its significance within contemporary post-Soviet photography. ➤ NEW In the CityX Foundation Collection: Polina From the series Kids 1 (2000) → C-print, 40 × 27 cm, Edition: 2/10 Polina captures a fragile threshold, a moment suspended between innocence and awareness. The image reveals how identity begins to take shape under subtle pressures, long before it becomes fully visible.
