I did the math based on my personal experience. Amounts may be less/ more via surgery. Once I had healed didnt need pain relief I didnt take it. Why are we being treated like reckless children? This is NOT about the opioid crisis any longer! AMERICA, I beg you- wake up!

Lets do some math shall we? Post surgery if a pt takes 2 every 6 hours for pain for 5 days=36 . Next 5 days they take 2 every 8 hours =20. Next five days they take 1 a day. Thsts a total of 61 pain meds. Amount may vary depending/surgery/recover time. You get the idea.

We are disabled & existing is exhausting. Doing all this work is so difficult, I have put it off since March. I also have learned I have issues with executive functioning which makes it even harder. Some info on executive function.

@WriterMera @SparlingAngela Also NSAIDS are terrible for the stomach, even more so if you suffer IBD, putting you in terrible flares and worse. Acetaminophen I guess the lesser of the two evils is not very good with the liver so patients are between a catch-22. No good quality of life!

I think this is true! I've spent lots of time building bridges between the #addiction community & the pain community because we share #stigma & we are both just patients seeking care. However, it's hard when pain & addiction are conflated. They're different issues. 🤔

So I get a call from new doc's office, who old doc said would continue treatment, to say she's calling for ALL her pain patients to come in this month! That's all I'm told. Immediately my BP soars and FEAR sets in. Ain't medical treatment in America great? #CPP
