From my 2022 digging into Maricopa/Runbeck absentee processing: Dominion's ImageCast Central (for absentee ballots) pairs with Canon scanners, has no built-in UV/IR detection for VoteSecure paper features. So even with premium paper, the IR security check couldn't happen on those absentee ballots —making it kinda redundant there. I did find that Canon drivers do have hole-punch removal and a workaround imprinter - so there's that.😊

To all, and @KevinMoncla remember, we all must get these things 100% correct. The ICE version does have the "IR controller BOARD" thus the ICE is really the only one WITH ACTIVE IR ABILITIES. The ICP: documented IR-paper discernment capability is noted but the ONLY one with the controller ability to manage such is the ICE with the controller board. So, THEIR software will always reference it, and if the board is not there to begin with it can register "not activated" by default. HOWEVER, it is worse.
