@bryan_johnson I wonder about your Dosis rational. When I researched it I came to the conclusion that 0,5 kg/bodyweight would probably make sense regarding mito function. Can you share a bit about your reasoning ?

8/ Methylene blue safety checklist + G6PD first: Get a G6PD blood test, skip methylene blue if deficient. + Med review: Do not take methylene blue with any antidepressants (SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOIs), or other serotonergic supplements/herbs or to linezolid (an antibiotic). + Hydrate well: Drink extra water; blue-green urine is normal and harmless. + Avoid intense sunlight exposure, especially with higher doses. + Body signals: Stop treatment and reassess if you get persistent headache, GI upset, or other unusual symptoms.

I’m experimenting with methylene blue. Clinical trials in humans show promise for brain health. Animal studies show minimal to no efficacy in lifespan extension. The potential: mitochondrial function and energy. 🧵

I have over 30K posts on X focusing on MECFS, LongCovid, and chronic illness recovery. Added a bunch of new followers lately (thanks!!). If you are new to my feed take some time and check out the rather insanely enormous cache of past posts: It boggles my mind just thinking about having created that much content. I hear from people every day who say that my posts have helped them. Here are a few of the 'search strings' I think have the best and most helpful content: 1. Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS): x.com/search?q=react… 2. Lymphatic Drainage: x.com/search?q=lymph… 3. MCAS: x.com/search?q=MCAS%… 4. Mitochondria: x.com/search?q=mitoc… 5. I am so motivated to move this new trial forward with @PutrinoLab! Especially because immune parameters in participants will be measured by our amazing collaborator @VirusesImmunity. That analysis will help clarify rapamycin’s mechanism of actions when taken in a low dose
PolyBio@polybioRF

We are excited to announce an $800,000 donation to Mount Sinai to support a clinical trial of the drug rapamycin in patients with long COVID. The trial will be conducted at CoRE: a clinic directed by Dr. David Putrino and PolyBio's Dr. Amy Proal: polybio.org/polybio-suppor…

@CaryKelly11 I’m a fan. Only good experiences. Did several 3 to 4 days dry fasts either as part of an extended water fast or stand alone. Feels like it intensifies the process.

I’ve been down the dry fasting rabbit hole the past few days and I’ve learned some interesting things, besides what’s on the screenshot. I’ll post another screenshot in the next post. Anyone have any experience, good or bad with dry fasting? I’m considering a 36 hr dry fast.

@DDEbert @AproposCoco Apologies - I was tied up all week with the Stanford / OMF conference and this added some additional delay. However it’s looking very favourable for release later this week, after the editors have finished working their magic.

A new paper: “Childhood neurodivergent traits, inflammation and chronic disabling fatigue in adolescence: a longitudinal case–control study” bmjopen.bmj.com/content/14/7/e… Another prediction of my disease model is that neurodiversity is an early stage of the biofilm-related energy metabolism alterations. youtu.be/cMZufN95MYc The pathogenic biofilm growth is accelerated by frequent exposure to (viral) antigens, distracting the immune system from suppressing microbial proliferation / planktonic stage and biofilm surface area expansion (see image). This mitochondrial dysfunction before critical developmental periods induces elevated lactic acid metabolism, leading to enhanced neurogenesis (and myogenesis, with exertion). It is both a blessing and a curse, depending on the circumstances. frontiersin.org/journals/neuro… However, this lactic acid metabolism comes with elevation of endogenous oxalate production (lactate dehydrogenase elevation also converts glyoxylate to oxalate). pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1417880 This dysbiosis cascade also creates aldehyde metabolism impairment. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P… Once the mineral deficiency profile reaches a dysfunctional level, with particular focus on zinc, copper, selenium, manganese and iron (chromium, iodine, etc also important), the energy metabolism and oxidative stress becomes significantly problematic. The immune system becomes further compromised. All that is required is a catalyst event (virus / viral reactivation, various drugs, etc) that creates lactic acidemia and kills off the bifidobacteria, etc. to push someone rapidly into ME/CFS criteria. A slow progression is also possible - all of these issues appear in aging populations, too. We’ve historically thought of that as “normal”. Variables inside the cascade control feature presentation and severity, eg. PEM, POTS, MCAS, fatigue, renal dysfunction, collagen synthesis issues, gut and other mucosal tissue issues, cortisol dysregulation, cholesterol elevation, B6 elevation, glucose metabolism impairment/ insulin “resistance”, sleep disorders, neurotransmitter homeostasis dysregulation, muscle tremors and activation issues, chronic viral reactivation issues. This is not an exhaustive list - just some of the highlights. bornfree.life/understanding-… As our pre-clinical data shows, getting people back out of that state is also possible by addressing these issues. Trials are now being drafted and funded.

Yes, it’s actually the same WIP protocol I’ve published for ME/CFS, LC, VI, etc. You’ll find it linked in the second paragraph here - bornfree.life/understanding-… There is a significant update being released in coming days, with a major rewrite for clarity and some product updates, also including targeted over-the-counter bacteriophages. The protocol is moving to an online/interactive version with clickable navigation, database driven tables, etc.

Post-viral fungal infections are something many of us deal with. Candida (yeast infections) are rarely life-threatening but the underlying concerns in terms of immune dysfunction are the same. The immune system stops being able to control the fungus. This paper details how lipids themselves affect macrophage function. Lipid replacement therapy (LRP) with phosphatidylcholines and plasmalogens keeps popping up as key treatment directions. The role of lipids in regulating macrophage antifungal immunity (2024)

Help 🥹
