Earlier today, I made my inaugural visit to the headquarters of the Patriotic League of Uganda, where I acquired kits for the MK Birth Run in solidarity with my brother, Gen. @mkainerugaba, and his vision to foster renewed hope among vulnerable communities and promote fitness, patriotism, and charity. I also took the opportunity to express my gratitude to the Chief of Defence Forces for his support and to call upon all Ugandans of goodwill to support the initiative and participate in the Run for Hope.

A strong advocate for EALA’s dual mandate effective legislation and robust oversight Dr. Tendo has consistently called for sensitising citizens on the benefits of integration, including wider markets, job creation, and collective global strength. Having previously engaged with EALA leadership and the Secretariat, he brings established relationships and a clear vision: resilient leadership that tackles trade barriers, youth unemployment, and cross-border infrastructure with practical solutions. In an era demanding strategic choices for the EAC, Dr. Tendo offers continuity and bold renewal. His Pan-Africanist outlook and bridge-building skills perfectly align with the Community’s motto: “One People, One Destiny.” His ACALAN appointment is not a detour but a powerful reinforcement of his lifelong dedication to East African unity.
