If you want to set the record straight, it’s worth noting some context: this person works for Nature, part of a multibillion-dollar corporation with significant financial and political interests, while simultaneously claiming victimhood here. First, as @LindaGGriffith1 stated, attendance required repeated confirmation because the event was oversubscribed. He didn't show that he completed those confirmations. Registering is not the same thing. Second, the MAHA Institute is a small private nonprofit, not a federal agency or a newsroom concierge service. They are not obligated to respond to emails, grant special access, or accommodate anyone claiming press status. Third, the event was publicly livestreamed. He could have listened, reported on the substance, and asked follow-up questions like any reasonable journalist. Showing up in person was not required for his job. Fourth, what he describes as journalism reads, in my view, as narrative construction — seeking any angle that casts the current administration in a negative light. Reporting is about conveying what happened, not manufacturing grievances when politics don’t go your way. Finally, I was told by a source that his conduct toward event staff — including following around a female staffer — led to security being called. That likely explains his behavior far better than any censorship narrative.
