100 days of judicial shame!
Armed with law and with force of logic and reason @ImaanZHazir and @AdvHadiali were the beloved royal couple and armed forces of the poor and the suppressed. Their appeals against unjust and illegal convictions ought to be urgently heard by the Islamabad High Court and the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Their illegal, malafide and speedy conviction warranted legal, bonafide and speedy appellate process as well. The judges must act fast to rescue two honourable members of the bar. The least they can do is to fix the appeals and start a hearing.
The 100 days of two lawyers incarceration and judicial in-activism will always haunt the Chief Justices of the Islamabad’s high and supreme courts of Pakistan. It’s about time that the Supreme Court puts a halt to its cheap publicity seeking press releases and starts doing a job which comes with unprecedented perks and privileges.
