Fun fact: Florida has more landscape companies than any other state in the country and Florida’s nursery and landscape industry employs over 279,000 Floridians! That’s why I was happy to meet with the Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association in Washington this week to talk about issues their industry faces, the importance of legal temporary immigration programs, and the need for a reliable workforce. We must continue to support Florida’s growers, nurseries, and landscapers.

FNGLA’s executive leaders had the opportunity to meet with lawmakers in Washington, D.C. this week, advocating for Florida’s nursery and landscape industry.

Today, Gov. DeSantis signed the #FloridaFarmBill into law, protecting the right of landscape pros to choose the equipment that works best for their businesses and customers. Thanks @GovRonDeSantis @FDACS @WiltonSimpson and the Florida Legislature for supporting our industry!

The #FloridaFarmBill has cleared its last committee stop in the House. Thanks to House bill sponsors, Rep. @dannyalvarezsr and Rep. Chad Johnson, and to @FDACS for supporting Florida's growers and landscapers. Next, it will be placed on the House calendar for debate and voting.
