Things got wacky during the waning days of the climate change movement: • The absurd reductionism down to a single gas, CO2, that is actually essential for life on Earth. • The exaggerated maps that made it look like all of Europe was on fire during normal summer days. • The "oceans are boiling" narrative. • Inconsequential European nations bankrupting their small farmers to virtue signal to no one. • Always calling it an "existential threat" without ever defining exactly what that means. • Sex trafficking client Bill Gates dressed like a Teletubby lecturing people about the dangers of cow flatulence and the importance of eating bugs. • The billionaires flying in private jets to Davos to draw up more plans to starve the peasants. • The largest polluters, China and India, sitting the whole process out while the west throttled its economy. • Autistic Greta from central casting leading the movement like Joan of Arc until the ruling class discovered power hungry AI data centers and abandoned the climate change movement altogether. It's hard to imagine a worse run movement. Even those inclined to be sympathetic to its aims were surely put off by its glaring internal contradictions. Was it all just astroturf by the nuclear power industry to build more reactors? Or did the billionaires intentionally sabotage it to discredit the left more generally?
