The Republican Senate majority is spineless. The Senate leader is a hater of Trump but does it undercover. He gives more speeches and no action. The Republican Senate is wasting precious time to enshrine Trump's executive orders such as closing the Department of Education and USAID, renaming DoD to the Department of war, stopping money flowing to the Taliban etc. All of these things are still funded, and a new Democrat president can just put these things back in place without a law. The Senate is pathetic, weak and assisting the Democrats in destroying our country.

I'm not surprised by today's Supreme Court ruling, but I'm devastated by what this will mean for Americans whose voices will be silenced.   This fight is far from over, and we're going to do everything in our power to fight back and defend voting rights everywhere.

The Supreme Court just weakened the Voting Rights Act, clearing a path for Trump’s authoritarian regime to grab more seats. We should be earning votes in the court of public opinion, not silencing voters.

@clovis1931 Yeah, what's even worse is if you let someone drive your car and they are speeding. The registered owner will get the ticket even if you're sitting at home sipping coffee. This system is currently operational on stretches of I-25 north of Denver and CO 119.

Blue state Colorado is rolling out AVIS (automated vehicle identification system) that tracks how fast you get from point A to point B, and if the algorythm determines you were speeding you automatically receive a 75 dollar speeding ticket. This is nuts....

I understand a lot of politicians have allowed you to change the meaning of words if it fits a particular narrative however, discrimination is the unfair or prejudicial treatment of people and groups based on characteristics such as race, gender, age, or sexual orientation. At its core, it is a failure to see the individual beyond a label, often fueled by deep-seated stereotypes and systemic biases. Choosing to remain segregated or divided based solely on the rhetoric of politicians is a form of willful ignorance; it allows external agendas to dictate human relationships and stifles the empathy that naturally grows through shared experiences. When people allow themselves to be siloed by political narratives, they forfeit the opportunity to build a more inclusive society, choosing instead to uphold artificial barriers that only serve to preserve power for a few while limiting the potential of the many. Why do you continue to allow politicians to dictate your decisions based solely on emotion and skin color. If democrat policies could stand on their own, they wouldn’t need to segregate you as a society. We have to be better than that or we are just fast walking this country’s downfall. @RepCDMenefee This is why we don't listen to people like you @RepCDMenefee. Exit polls (CBS/Edison) show about 94% of self-identified Republicans voted for Trump and about 5% of self-identified Democrats voted for Trump in 2024. So, the maps in Texas were drawn appropriately, not by race.

The Supreme Court just made it harder to challenge racist maps and easier to silence Black and Brown voters. We’ve seen what racial gerrymandering looks like in Texas, and we know exactly who gets hurt. Ban partisan gerrymandering. Restore voting rights protections. Keep fighting.
