Made a dinner tonight that involved basically no cooking or chopping and my kids said, and I quote, “this is the best food ever. Can you make it everyday? Can I have leftovers for breakfast?” Rotisserie Chicken enchiladas Preheat oven to 350 Pull all the meat off a rotisserie chicken, put it in a bowl Add a couple big scoops of cottage cheese, add a few tablespoons of red enchilada sauce Throw some of that filling into a tortilla and wrap it Put those in a baking dish that has some enchilada sauce on the bottom, seam side down Pour more enchilada sauce on top Sprinkle on some cheese Bake until cheese bubbles

$28 lunches make more sense when you realize that over 25% of millennials can't make a cake from a box mix and under a third of young adults feel confident in the kitchen The loss of the American family table has led to the growth of the "cooking illiterate"

@ClistonBrown Absolutely. And dare I say, I prefer Culver’s over Whataburger at times as well!

@Mark___Taylor @glen5839 It’s not the same thing. Pizza delivery in the 80s and 90s was largely free, you just had to tip the driver. In the early 00s they started charging $2 for delivery PLUS tip, and then the DoorDash model was born.

@glen5839 But you are aware getting a food delivery sometimes is like a normal thing right? You can watch 50 year old movies that portray it, see commercials advertising it, see businesses selling it. It’s not like some modern decadent practice for only the richest of the rich.

@SouthDallasFood @culvers I don’t understand. Why wouldn’t there be time? Has the sun burnt out? Is there a meteor screaming towards earth to bring us sweet relief? I don’t get it.

@CoachJosh520 Unrealistic expectations on talent (when evaluating Jrs and Srs). I get that not every team has the same expectations, but coaches really shouldn’t be looking past a keeper that WANTS to be there, versus “hoping” they find the right one down the road

There are a WHOLE lot of programs at every level still needing goalkeepers and center backs (me included on the CBs). What do y’all think: Are there just not enough talented ones, are we being unrealistic about the talent we want, or something else?

Let's have a little clarity on words here: BBQ or Barbecue, as a food, MUST be smoked. A backyard bbq may include grilled foods, but if the food itself is not smoked (generally slow) it is not barbecue. Japanese/Korean "BBQ" is not barbecue. It is delicious, but not BBQ

@SecondAmendment I have to admit, though. I grew up around guns. My brother was a cop and so are all of his friends that were my friends. It still surprises me when I see people open carrying. Doesn't scare me or make me nervous it's just startling sometimes.

PSA for the Texas newcomers: Guns are part of our culture and even the misguided progressive souls are generally ok with them. If you don't like guns, this ain't the place for you. And if you see a dude with a 1911 on his hip, don't freak out.

Fuck man. When I was growing up I was given cheese sandwiches, sometimes peanut butter and honey. My grandmother got the cheese free from some food bank or something. I didnt know we were poor or that other people ate any different. I still eat cheese sandwiches and peanut butter on toast with honey. Im a tool.

Bread alone, just one loaf of the cheapest, most disgusting kind, costs 99 cents. Cold cuts cost another five to six dollars. Then sliced cheese for another two dollars at least. Then condiments like mustard and mayo, another 99 cents and five dollars respectfully, buying lettuce or tomatoes or pickles, and everything else you want to buy to make a dense sandwich. You have to spend well over twenty bucks just to make sandwiches at home, and while it's true that you get more for your money this way, it isn't fucking 99 cents anymore. Ignoring all of this, everyone who says this is rich and eats out at restaurants with three Michelin stars every fucking week. Then they have the nerve to tell you not to eat at your favorite burger joint once a month.
dank@cptdankkk

Kevin O'Leary says most people waste $15,000 a year on stupid stuff like $5 coffees "Stop buying coffee for five dollars and fifty cents" "You go to work and you spend $15 bucks on a sandwich, what are you an idiot. It costs you 99 cents to make a sandwich at home and bring it with you" "Bring your own water, your own drink or your own coffee mug. You start to add that up every day it's a ton of money" "Most people starting on their job making their first $60,000 piss away about $15,000 a year"
