Obviously you should not cite a source that no one on the author list has read, and it is gobsmacking that so many intelligent academics are suggesting that lol of course no one reads their own citations. Academic publishing norms are fundamentally broken.

@eiszett Have you read all the sources you ever cited? During my PhD we, along with dozens of other papers, cited a paper that I later found did not contain the result for which it was commonly cited. I should be banned I guess.

NEWS: LSU has finalized a deal to hire Ed Orgeron on Lane Kiffin’s staff, Orgeron’s agent Tzvi Grossman tells ESPN. Orgeron returns to LSU, which he led to the 2019 national title as head coach. Orgeron has a decades-long relationship with Kiffin.

Something stinks in Georgia … Top vote-getter Lt. Gov. candidate John Kennedy ran a remarkably low-key campaign — almost a “Biden basement strategy” style race. Most voters barely saw signs. Few events. Limited retail campaigning. This from a former Georgia Senate President Pro Tem who resigned his Senate seat to run statewide — then largely disappeared from public view. Looks like a selection, not an election.

People don't want to hear it, but he's right. If you confiscated Jeff Bezos' entire net worth, you could run the government for about a week. He's a convenient villain for politicians who won't admit that their expensive proposals require heavy taxes on the middle class.
