@SkyNews Some key facts: It was "extremely rare" for someone to be flagged up if they weren't on the list, but the study found it was "statistically significantly more likely" to correctly identify black people than other ethnicities. It was also "more likely" to spot men than women.

He borrowed £22,000 from his Mother's life savings. Post Office pocketed every penny. Then they prosecuted him anyway. 6 months in Prison. 14 years in hiding. 3 occasions where he nearly took his own life. A 17 year estrangement from his son Mahesh, who was just 17 when they took his father away. Children who grew up asking: "Dad, have you taken the money?" His own children. Asking if their father was a thief. Because the State told them he was. His conviction was finally quashed in May 2021. He should have spent his remaining years in peace, rebuilding what was stolen. Instead, the Post Office unleashed elite City law firms to fight tooth and claw over every penny piece of his Redress. They challenged causation. They delayed. They low-balled. They rejected his interim claim of £100,000 on "public interest grounds." Highly paid lawyers — billing more per hour than Parmod earned in a week — deployed forensic cruelty against a traumatised, terminally declining man whose only demand was that someone look him in the eye and say: 'we did this to you, and we are sorry'. He tragically died on March 13, 2026. Still fighting. Still waiting. Still uncompensated. Still dignified. The inhumane savages masquerading as lawyers who wage this war of attrition against Parmod, his family and hundreds like him will simply move on, adjust their cufflinks, sip their flat whites, and open the next file. Popped into my favourite supermarket for some essentials today. The products are beautiful, the staff are superb, the wrapping is perfect and the whole experience is beyond any other shop I know. Other supermarkets are available, but I have no idea why one would shop in them.

You’ve gotta laugh haven’t you. I popped into this very upmarket hotel/wine bar in Soho because I needed a toilet. As I walked in, one of the very lovely waitresses greeted me and I was too embarrassed to say I’d only come in for the toilet so now I’m sitting here with all the beautiful people, having a glass of wine. I don’t know how much this wine is, but I’m guessing it’ll be the most expensive penny I’ve ever spent.

@grahamwettone Sadly too many of my colleagues have followed the spurious ‘doesn’t have capacity so not in the public interest to prosecute’ route. Utter tosh.

Fully agree here - policing & the justice system seems to have decided several years ago that these are exclusive paths to take. I have cases where the best & most effective way of getting MH support was to prosecute for a criminal offence & the court then had power to act for MH

@sergeantdixie @grahamwettone I’m seeing very violent detainees getting pushed through to court primarily because they are so disinhibited to merit no engagement. Still no full mental health assessment.

@grahamwettone I’ve seen multiple examples of CPS decision makers pounce on mental health to refuse charge on the grounds they wouldn’t get a conviction. The problem was all that happened was the suspect gets released. And even if sectioned they are let out quickly because of pressure.
