Yes it started even before 1948. When 5 Arab nations attacked Israel. Palestinians have been killing Israelis ever since. Just a few examples (out of hundreds): In 1974 The Ma'alot massacre was a Palestinian terrorist attack, in the northern Israeli town of Ma'alot. It resulted in the deaths of 31 Israelis, including 22 high school students, and left more than 70 others wounded. In 1978, 38 Israeli civilians, including 13 children were murdered in the Coastal Road massacre when a bus was hijacked by Palestinian Fatah terrorists. In 2001 Hamas suicide bomber detonated explosives outside a beachfront nightclub in Tel Aviv, Israel. The attack killed 21 Israelis, mostly teenage girls, and injured over 120 others.

My question to the moderate Jewish leaders: Did they think @NYCMayor Mamdani was bluffing? Did they think the insane paper and video trail he left behind involving not just his disdain for Israel and Jews, but his support of Marxism, his failure to condemn "from the river to the sea," his flipping the bird at a statue of Columbus, was performance art? This is a man steeped in the doctrine of far-left, which if you haven't noticed ranks Israel and the country he now calls home as oppressive regimes. It's how he was brought up, it's what he studied in college and its what he has preached as a politician. He's a revolutionary; don't let the smile fool you.

I am aware of the disturbing incident targeting worshippers during Friday prayers outside the Baitul Mamur Mosque in Brooklyn, where a man praying was struck with an egg. 

That hateful act is unacceptable and an affront to the values that define us as New Yorkers. 

My administration is committed to rooting out anti-Muslim hate in all its forms and ensuring every New Yorker can live and worship in safety and dignity. The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force is investigating this incident.
