@ChanukahZ3 @aseitzwald Zionists always look to weaponize Jews & antisemitism. It’s how they convince the west to support its apartheid regime, illegal settlements & land theft, ethnic cleansing, and most recently the wholesale erasure of nearly the entirety of Gaza and the genocidal war on its people.

@aseitzwald Nazis always look to tokenize Jews, it’s how the nazis convinced Jews to go to the camps early on in the Holocaust.

Minnesotans may not love their climate, but increasingly, they loathe Florida's. A careful survey of Wunderground data shows people hate Arctic blasts in Florida and love August afternoons in the Upper Peninsula! Trump's excessive flatulence in Jan must be causing FL miasmas!

Voters may not love Republicans, but increasingly, they fear Democrats. A new @YouGov deep dive shows support for Democrats slipping across almost every demographic.  The AOC/Mamdani takeover is driving voters away!

One year after Liberation Day, the evidence does not support the administration’s core claims. Tariffs weren't reciprocal, didn't produce an investment surge, generated less revenue than projected, didn't pay down the national debt, and pushed prices up. taxfoundation.org/blog/liberatio…

This week is the one-year anniversary of Trump's "Liberation Day." Instead of focusing on whether predictions made when tariffs were at their peak came to pass, let's ask whether the tariffs actually imposed achieved the Trump administration’s stated goals.

It's crazy to me how all these millennial Republicans that were disgruntled by the War on Terror came together under MAGA & America first, made their entire movement to stop interventionist wars in the Middle East, focus on China, focus on rebuilding the manufacturing base ... They literally get the VP in the White House, the National Security Policy, you get people like Elbridge Colby in important positions - And then none of it matters at all and you get *two* wars on Iran in the first 14 months, literally in the dumbest way possible doing exactly what they were screaming about not doing, all US bases in the Middle East get hit, and they're stuck in the escalatory spiral for reasons they can't explain that is gonna absolutely wreck the economy. A stupider version of the Bush-Cheney war that ruined their lives & they tried so hard to prevent again. Literally the polar opposite of everything they believe in. Can you blame people for resorting to conspiracy theories to explain the world? They do everything right and get a seat at the table and literally nothing matters.

POTUS: “We don’t mind having somebody get a boatload, cuz they have to survive… If a country wants to send some oil into Cuba right now, I have no problem with it. Whether it’s Russia or… if other countries want to do it, doesn’t bother me… I prefer letting it in whether it’s Russia or anybody else because the people need heat and cooling and all of the other things that you need.”
Acyn@Acyn

Reporter: There's a report that the US is going to let a Russian oil tanker go to Cuba? Trump: If a country wants to send some oil into Cuba, I have no problem with that. Reporter: Do you worry that that helps Putin? Trump: It doesn’t help him. He loses one boatload of oil. That’s all it is. It doesn’t bother me.

It is fascinating that no one actually cares about human catastrophes so long as the actors are not perceived as "Western." The so-called "international community" has zero expectations of 3rd worlders or Islamic countries.

It's interesting that in the fall of 2023 there was a brief war between Armenia and Azerbaijan that led to the wholesale ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh and nobody thinks that's going to be undone and it's not considered a big deal in global politics.

@ryangrim What you're missing the enormous floating stockpile of Russian oil released at optimal prices. Also, production cost might me half of $40/barrel, but a quarter of the current $80/bb

Seeing people claim that Russia won’t be able to benefit from the oil price surge because Ukrainian attacks on their pipelines and export capacity have reduced their ability to export by 40%. But do the math. Oil prices are up by like 80% compared to 6 months ago. If you sell less, but get nearly double what you used to (plus sanctions relief) then you are benefiting while also keeping your reserves high. And the Ukraine attacks will drive prices up even further, high prices that will benefit Russia.
Murtaza Hussain@MazMHussain

It’s amazing how this single-handedly destroyed the entire European economic warfare strategy for containing Russia and forcing it to end the war in Ukraine. Even in the most optimistic scenario they will be flush for years now.

Evangelicals are partly to blame for the collapse of Middle Eastern Christianity. They are the biggest supporter of wars which destroy Christians. But it goes way deeper than that. They view Christians like Assyrians in Iraq as a pawn to expand their footprint as "authentic" Christians. They can be so brazen that they even set up local organizations & try to convert *Apostolic Christians* to *their* brand of American Christianity. Imagine destroying an Apostolic, Aramaic speaking Christian community which is 2000 years old. Then setting up an NGO to convert them to Megachurch Protestantism through bribery & handouts. Isn't that insane?

Israel is single-handedly dismantling the entire framework of international law, morality, and rules established by the global community since World War II; it is single-handedly destroying all diplomatic norms that have existed since the Westphalian system of sovereign states. It has subverted the "Just War" theory constructed by Western Christian tradition over the past millennium. It is single-handedly crushing the modern ethical system of humanity, dragging down the moral baseline of human society, and dragging humanity back into the barbarism of two thousand years ago. Israel is one of, if not the most, degenerate, barbaric, reactionary, regressive, indecent and dark regime humanity has ever witnessed in centuries. It has no connection to Western values; its moral standards are far below to those of Iran - the very country it strives to demonize. It is a disgrace to human society, and the entire world has seen this for what it is.
Sina Toossi@SinaToossi

Universities bombed. Scientists and political officials assassinated. Civilian infrastructure targeted. This model of warfare, mastered by Israel in the modern era, makes a point of discarding any pretense of law, ethics, or restraint. As in Gaza, it normalizes a level of savagery that will not stay contained. It will haunt the international system for years to come. Oh and relying on brute force like this is not strength. It is desperation, built on the illusion that it can deliver “victory” when it cannot.

Israel has military and technical teams in multiple Arab Gulf countries, helping them protect their skies, soil, and people against Iranian missiles and drones – despite the public attitudes and views toward the Jewish state. Ukraine has military and technical teams in multiple Arab Gulf countries to help them develop cost-effective counter-drone solutions and to leverage years of Kyiv’s experience dealing with Iranian drones, despite not receiving support from Arab countries, which preferred to prioritize their relationship with Russia. Of course, the U.S. is also heavily invested in the Gulf’s air defenses, providing gear, parts, teams, and authorizing massive emergency military sales. France, South Korea, Italy, the UK, and Australia have sent teams, aircraft, and anti-missile defense equipment to the UAE and other Gulf countries to assist with defense against Iranian missiles and drones. Meanwhile, Russia, which was courted by several Arab Gulf countries, provided coordinates, intelligence, and satellite imagery to the IRGC for targeting Saudi, Emirati, Qatari, and Kuwaiti soil. China, which brokered a Saudi-Iranian restoration of diplomatic relations in 2023, has been utterly useless and incapable of doing or saying anything remotely useful to pull back Tehran, or provide any support for restoring maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, where Beijing-bound oil is under threat. Pakistan, which signed a mutual defense agreement with Saudi Arabia in 2025, is trying to play all sides, has been absent from the scene and has proven to be a paper ally that is unreliable, ineffective, and incapable of exercising any power-projection to aid Riyadh and other Gulf allies, despite possessing nuclear weapons and a supposedly powerful military. Actions speak louder than slogans and hollow statements in life-or-death situations, especially as Gulf countries face what some consider existential crises. Israel showed up; Ukraine showed up; Europe offered defensive help, even if it won’t join the war; the U.S. remains a steadfast ally. This war and the aggression of the Islamic Republic of Iran will push the Gulf countries closer to the West and the United States, not to mention Israel. Meanwhile, China, Russia, and many Arab and Muslim countries will be viewed as impotent and unhelpful, beyond surface-level cordial relations or bilateral economic partnerships.
