People still don’t get it. Bethesda’s object permanence is what makes their worlds feel alive and reactive. You can drop items anywhere, build crazy cheese wheel shrines, leave the world in whatever chaotic state you want… and it stays that way. No other game (Cyberpunk included) has fully captured that level of true persistence without compromises. Loading screens exist for a real technical reason here .. they let the game actually remember your impact on the world. I’d rather quick loads than losing that immersion any day. The trade-off is worth it.

You’ll need to convince the Florida legislature (who are not in session until 2027) to change the laws allowing city infrastructure development. The tourism industry is also a massive lobby and would rather keep this money.

Many people, like @Isaiah3612, are confused what the Orlando tourist tax $s can be spent on. They are from a 6% fee on short-term lodgings & under Florida law, they are strictly restricted to destination marketing & facilities that directly benefit & promote tourism - like UCF 🏟️

@JayDook @SynthPotato You can play almost all of CP2077 without experiencing loading screens. Unless you fast travel, die, load a new save, or get into a time-skip cutscene, there’s no loading screens. Starfield makes you go through MULTIPLE loading screens to get to some parts of the map.

@SynthPotato No it doesn’t. At all. Nearly all games of a similar type have load screens.

The Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5 are confirmed to be running on the Creation Engine This means they will very likely both still require loading screens when entering Interiors. I think this is one of the biggest weaknesses of Bethesda games, it really does feel outdated…

I’d rather it go to UCF than continue to pour money into the convention center.

@usmnt_jason @SSN_UCF @Isaiah3612 I have season tix for FB. I do think there is as much out of town traffic as you think. The visiting team allotment (3k to 5k) is rarely totally used. I am just fundamentally against it, but I guess it is there so take advantage.

@B_Kling Hard disagree on no FFP. The event isn’t like MNNSSHP where you can realistically do everything unique in a few hours. HHN is designed to be a high capacity event with enough to justify multiple visits. Modify how FFP works? Sure, but hard disagree on getting rid of them.

The reality that locals won't face is that it's not 2002 anymore -- Universal isn't a scrappy regional park. HHN isn't a weird, niche event for the shoulder season. They should get rid of *all* FFPs, and this event should be priced closer to MMNSSHP (which sells out)

@Akileese Over 20 years ago, Universal did a 2-park HHN event. They can't do it again? There's your increased capacity. They do it every year for the Orlando Informer.

I legitimately think that because Universal cannot actually increase event capacity since there's nowhere to put anything, this was their way of reducing the average guests per night.

@thezigpc It’s a good change but honestly Universal has been consistently dropping the ball on PR for HHN. There’s little to no transparency up until they actually make a decision, and that decision is often way too late. This definitely should’ve been announced much sooner than now.

Waiting this long to announce that Fear Passes will no longer include Express is a pretty lousy way to treat the people who buy them every year. You let single-night Express Pass prices increase as availability tightened, then waited until well into the sales cycle to tell everyone that the usual Fear Pass with Express option was being discontinued. Now anyone who was waiting for that pass is stuck either paying inflated single-night Express prices or missing out on key dates they could have purchased earlier at the initial rates. This should have been announced before tickets and Express Passes went on sale. People could have planned ahead, budgeted properly, and secured their most important nights before prices started climbing. You are already getting reamed over the bad PR from this decision. The comments under your own post include loyal guests talking about cancelling trips, dropping hotel reservations, or skipping HHN altogether. Saying that other Fear Pass options are "coming soon" does not make up for how badly this was handled. What a great way to celebrate an anniversary year. /s The clock is ticking. Reconsider this before even more of your most loyal HHN guests decide this is the year they stop coming.
