Last week’s election results showed just how fragmented the country is. Tonight I’ll be sitting down with my childhood friend Darren, now drawn to the populist right, for a live and honest discussion with @BylineTimes. In September he joined the “Unite the Kingdom” march in London. When I asked why, he said: “the government doesn’t listen to us” and “I want to feel proud of my country again.” That sense of being ignored runs across the political divide. The question is how the same frustration with a system that isn’t working for ordinary people can lead to such different political conclusions. It's early yet, but for the Greens to be beating Labour in the popular vote in places like Reading is remarkable! We've gained seats across the country and an increase in our vote share almost everywhere we've stood. All over the UK people are voting to end Rip Off Britain.
