@_whydock @LilRobb4TreyK @BeSaintly Yes, bro. Evolutionary success is defined by propagation/reproduction. Persisting and spreading genes. It’s not that deep.

@thebeautyofsaas This book was essentially a bunch of chapters going, “I HATE MBA’s, but I’ll admit they’re the only ones who can do marketing and finance at the level we required.” Over and over for every functional business area.

@shaneparrish Thoughtful questions. Not a qualified opinion, but more in favor of tariffs than subsidies because I’d rather the government collect money from companies than from me. Now, the company passing that cost onto me is another topic entirely.

I have some questions around trade, tariffs, and domestic capability. 1. Should a country try to maintain some level of domestic capability in key industries? If so, what’s the right way to support that? Through subsidies or tariffs or some other means? 2. Aren’t government subsidies basically higher taxes on everyone to fund specific industries? And aren’t tariffs higher prices for consumers? If you do subsidize domestic companies, how is that fair if they export their products? Now local producers in other countries are competing against subsidized products? 3. If both come with costs, how do you decide which makes more sense economically or strategically? Take something like steel ... U.S. producers deal with unions, strict environmental rules, and higher costs. Meanwhile, imports often come from places without those constraints. How do you make that a fair competition? Is it even possible to “level the playing field” without distorting the market? 4. What role should the government play? If you distort the market too much, companies become domestically dominant but don't consumers end up paying higher prices for inferior products? (An example of this would be BYD cars, they seem both much cheaper and much more capable than domestic... however they are subsidized (I'm using that term pretty loosely here, but meaning local standards at production are not the same as domestic standards). 5. Subsidies are typically only available to select incumbents. Doesn't this make it harder for their existing and potentially new competitors to compete? 6. Should subsidies exist on newer technologies until they reach some level of maturity (examples that come to mind are solar, ev's, etc.). 7. Aren't subsidies basically government picking winners? Also isn't this basically delaying creative destruction? 8. If you had to choose between subsidies and tariffs, how would you choose? which makes sense when? 9. How can you make the domestic market more competitive without subsidies or tariffs? Would love to discuss on the pod with the right person.

Here, @benshapiro admits to @michaeljknowles that if he were to convert to Christianity, he would go Protestant because Catholicism is more or less the same—endless rituals done as a way to earn heaven. & he is completely right here. The entire foundation on which Christianity is grounded on is that Jesus Christ paid it all. He became our final and all sufficient sacrifice. There is no more need for rituals.

Due to their updated takes on Muslims, I’m officially demoting Roman Catholicism in the religion rankings. The new order is as follows: 1. Eastern Orthodox 2. Oriental Orthodox 3. High Church Protestant 4. Assyrian Church of the East 5. Roman Catholic 6. Low Church Protestant 7. JW/Mormon 8. Islam 9. Hinduism/Buddhism/Taoism/Sikhism/other weird New Age shit 10. Judaism

@superxtianmario All of you with religiously themed accounts are chiefly identified by your polemical interactions with other groups. Whether that is bad, as I think, is another matter.

I can’t imagine having my pinned tweet being a post in opposition to Catholicism. It’s wild how schismatics build their entire identity on being opposition to the Orthodox Church.
