Imagine we're invaded by North Korea and trying to escape Spokane and flee to the mountains...Imagine your wifes pregnant and going into labor but it wont let you start cause it thinks you kidnapped a screaming woman. This is exactly what our founders warned us about. They're passing laws that We The People are mostly against while not passing Voter ID which most Americans are for. This is the government our founders warned us about. It needs to stop, why are we celebrating 250yrs when we're not the country they founded.

I just spent 2 incredible weeks in Italy and it is so frustrating to come back to the U.S… How is it possible @RobertKennedyJr that the Italian food supply is so vastly superior. I literally ate bread at every meal, dessert multiple times per day, and generally ate way more than I do in the U.S. Not once did I have acid reflux. Not one headache, no digestive problems, and I didn’t gain any weight. If I ate the same way in the U.S. (I used to at times) I would have gone through a full bottle of Tums and Advil just to get through the day… WHY does the U.S. allow glyphosate in wheat, high fructose corn syrup in food and who knows what in our milk products? The difference in quality of life in Italy vs the U.S. is staggering from their common sense (anti corporate) food regulation. WHY aren’t more people upset about this? The U.S. is the richest country in the world and we eat like one of the poorest.

🚨 JUST IN: President Trump TERMINATED the Obama-era mandate that pushed auto start-stop systems into vehicles. You know the one. You stop at a red light. Your engine shuts off. Every. Single. Time. Doesn’t matter if you hate it. Doesn’t matter if it wears down the starter. Doesn’t matter if you have to turn it off manually every time you start the car. It was forced in the name of “efficiency.” Trump just ended it. No more government telling automakers how to design your engine. No more being annoyed at every stoplight. Build better cars. Let consumers choose. Common sense is back.

Hey @Ford, Congress, and everyone else that needs to read this. I am NOT buying any vehicle that will be monitoring me with a camera, and whatever other technology you decide to put in cars, while I am driving. I would rather drive a 1970 car with a carburetor. And while we are at it, I am not giving you my retina scans, nor letting you test my breath, not even give you my fingerprints. I am sure the vast majority of Americans feel this way.

What happens if you’re in a panic or medical emergency and your car decides NOT to work because the AI in it determined you aren’t capable? We will no longer have control of our cars. Our cars will control us, on behalf of the government. @HouseGOP must pass legislation to ban this technology NOW.

@WallStreetApes Honestly it's needed. Not sure why anybody would complain about people being unable to drive in instances of drunk/erratic driving. They cause accidents that end the lives of innocent people all the time. It's about time that stopped

There is a real federal law in effect right now that mandates vehicle kill switches in new cars, but it’s actually worse than that (I’ll get into below) Rep Thomas Massie “There's a law that states that every vehicle manufactured is gonna have to have a kill switch in it. The car itself will monitor your driving, and if the car thinks that you're not doing a good job driving, it will disable itself. So the car dashboard becomes your judge, your jury, and your executioner” The federal law is Section 24220 of the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (The HALT Drunk Driving Act provision) It directs the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to create a federal motor vehicle safety standard for “advanced drunk and impaired driving prevention technology” in all new passenger vehicles If impairment is detected, the system must prevent or limit vehicle operation. Meaning refuse to start, reduce speed, or bring the car to a stop. This is the kill switch Possible triggers include: - Erratic steering or lane departures - Eyes closed or looking away too long - Detected alcohol via steering wheel sensors or cabin air You can already imagine how this will be abused by the government

Congress allowed this Orwellian mandate to become law. A group of us in the House tried to stop it. Americans want freedom, not remote controls and mass surveillance. We must move to repeal this mandate before 2027.

No matter where you stand politically, I think we can all come together and agree that putting spyware in our cars that watches what we do and can decide whether we’re even allowed to drive is a direct violation of our 4th amendment right and absolute tyranny.

As it stands today, I’m never buying a car newer than 2026. Luckily I just got my wife a new car so we should be good for a while. No car is gonna tell me when I can and can’t drive. That’s communism. The opposite of freedom.

@JosephMango13 @ChrissyCasilio Fair to who? Working New Yorkers priced out of their own neighborhoods so foreign investors can park cash in empty $5M+ units? Asking them to pay tax on a second home they never set foot in isn't punishment, it's the bare minimum of accountability.

For simple math: Someone with a $10 million condo currently pays about $50,000 in property taxes each year. Under the proposed pied-à-terre tax, that same property could face an additional $100,000 annually. That brings the total to $150,000 a year. Some will say, “They can afford it, so what’s the issue?” But for people in this bracket, it’s not about the money...it's the principle... ...and they are going to give a gigantic middle finger to NYC on their way out!

@ChrissyCasilio The tax only hits non residents with $5M+ second homes. They don't live in NYC. Their primary residence is Miami, London, or Dubai. They can't "leave on their way out" because they were never here. You're defending the right of foreigners to own empty crash pads tax free.

@JeauxDirtee @RepKeithSelf Well ok, let’s see what happens when a situation happens (pregnancy to the hospital, someone getting attacked, or a road rage incident) occurs and the driver is helpless because the vehicle senses your anxiety.

@RepKeithSelf A lot of innocent people are dying on the road due to people driving under the influence or erratically. What can be done to quell that? Feels like that type of surveillance is the only option since people who are irresponsible continue to be irresponsible.
