Heartbroken for the mother I saw at @UgEquityBank Hoima Branch today. She sat from 1 PM to 4 PM with a sick, crying infant. Only ONE attendant was serving dozens of people. The system is broken. When she finally approached the Operations Manager’s office at 4pm for help, she was told to leave because the manager "couldn't help much." Since when is a sick child not a priority for quick service? To make matters worse, an epileptic customer collapsed in the hall during the chaos. @UgEquityBank, you need to address staffing levels and train your managers in crisis empathy immediately. This is unacceptable. No one was there to assist the mother on how to fill the form, as you can see, on expected turnover, the mother wrote a date instead. Yes, the mother walked away hours later without service. @KeEquityBank @UgEquityBank

It’s well over 48 hours since the horrific murder of those little kids in Gaba, somehow, the president’s account, @KagutaMuseveni has still said nothing of it. Today, the Minister for the Presidency who has been so busy & couldn't find 10 minutes in her schedule to say something about the slain kids came online with a very important announcement - the president has granted a state funeral costing hundreds of millions of taxes for a former Minister and Justice of the Supreme Court who died a whole day after the kids. Again, she's yet to find time in her ultra-tight schedule to say a thing about the kids even as the story goes global. Uganda surely has its 1 per cent; but never mind, we are supposed to love and always say good thing about it at all time because it is the only country we have!

Emilian Kayima was appointed as the Uganda Police Force spokesperson in November 2017. He was handpicked by then-IGP Gen. Kale Kayihura to replace AIGP Asan Kasingye, who had requested to relinquish the role to focus on his duties as the Chief Political Commissar. Kayima’s tenure was marked by a period of significant transition within the force, including the leadership shift from Kayihura to Okoth Ochola in early 2018. Known for his articulate and calm demeanor, Kayima served as the primary voice of the police until January 2019. He was replaced by SCP Fred Enanga, who returned for his second stint in the role as part of a wider restructuring aimed at improving the force's public image.

I choose to celebrate you Yvonne. you lost your tender life saving other children from the Budo Primary school inferno. And when Mzee @KagutaMuseveni recognised you, declaring you a national hero, it was edifying to many. Your candle is still burning, rest well Yvonne.

I big and well deserved vote of confidence to @ugwildlife by HE @KagutaMuseveni

🚨UPDATE: Maj.Gen.Matayo Kyaligonza who slapped a female traffic officer in 2019 has lost his son in a motor accident. Uganda's Ambassador to Burundi, Maj Gen Matayo Kyaligonza with his military guards assaulted Ms. Esther Namaganda a female traffic officer who stopped them after they made a wrongful U-turn in Seeta, Mukono. The UBC TV journalist, Peter Otai who reportedly took the pictures was also beaten by the same soldiers.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Araali Peter Banura, the Kikuube District Chairman. His death is a huge loss to Kikuube and Uganda at large. He was a young man deeply committed to leadership and service. As the pioneer LCV Chairperson of Kikuube, he was dedicated to the progress of the district and the wellbeing of its people. We have lost a very humble man who still had much life ahead of him. I convey my heartfelt condolences to his family, especially his father, Maj. Gen. Matayo Kyaligonza. May God comfort and strengthen them during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Araali. @MoLGUganda @raphaelMagyezi @UgEmbassyBuja @OPMUganda @Parliament_Ug @StateHouseUg
