@MMORTON6 My father used to love that Poggenpoel surname 😂😂😂

@nasiphim @CityTshwane Mayor you are telling a one sided story. Although you are doing a great job but you are not calling out your City officials for not attending to sorting legacy account discrepancies. As a resident and Trustee of Oak Tree Village I’m disappointed by this.

We are back with another #TshwaneYaTima operation.
Our Revenue Protection Unit has disconnected electricity at Oak Tree Village in Clubview, Centurion, due to an outstanding debt of R1.5 million. @CityTshwane

@Molipajoe @Mathaba2022 @therapay Two questions? What is a township product? Which product is Mnisi?
English

@Mathaba2022 You know @therapay even a teacher gets tired of teaching. But let me try for the very last time with you. Go check his father's struggle credentials and know what he had at that age. Even from his presentation you can hear that this is not a township product.

@Sivu_Kose @motso_modise Kehla Sithole, Riya Phiyega, which court did they go to
English

@motso_modise The office of the National Police Commissioner is cursed. The last commissioner to not go to court was Mr George Fivas was it not? Every other after him went to the dock for one thing or the other
English

HAPPENING NOW:
National police commissioner General #FannieMasemola is in the dock
Adv Muzi Sikhakhane is his lawyer
The court hears that the investigations in the case against him are at an advanced stage.
This is linked to the R360m Medicare24 tender

Interesting facts and background about the legacy of the brilliant legal minds that we see at #MadlangaCommission. I will talk about the young Advocates Mosikili and Sikhakhane Junior in the next post.
Advocate Muzi Sikhakhane SC was a protégé of Advocate Matthew Chaskalson SC. He mentions in his book that he did his pupillage under Chaskalson between January and June 2002. He later joined the Johannesburg Society of Advocates, also known as Johannesburg Bar. He and his wife, Advocate Ndlovukazi SC did their puppilage around the same time.
The former Gautrng MEC of Education Mary Metcalf, contacted Chaskalson to request him on his behalf, to take Sikhakhane under his wing. He says and Mary were dear friends and comrades.
Chaskalson had been a lecturer of Constutional Law at Wits University and had taught him. He was keen to have Muzi. Matthew became his pupil master, great mentor and friend to this day. He joined him at his Chambers in Sandton. He says Chaskalson's offices became like his. He was dealing with some issues during that year and left Muzi with his offices, just checking up on him on a daily basis to see if he doesn't need anything. Generational friendships transferring generational skills. 🙌🏽❤️

@MadiBoity @HermanMashaba @nasiphim Chief here is free education , CFO vs MMC are whole different Case but We value the attempted Logic
English

Ntate @HermanMashaba and @nasiphim, what on earth is going on with Tshwane CFO Gareth Mnisi? Why does it seem like there is so much tip-toeing around him? You need to take us into your confidence and explain clearly. You promptly suspended the MMC when allegations surfaced at the commission, but with this man, you are moving like snails.
English

Leading the evidence at #MadlangaCommission today is Advocate Mpilo Sikhakhane, the son of Advocate Muzi Sikhakhane.
He is his Father's son. 😊❤️

@monyamane_m @SABCPortal " According to reports" which reports ? Mention them and stop generalisng
English

According to reports and Clement Manyathela himself, the show brought significant viewership to its time slot. A former SABC executive reportedly noted it achieved numbers not seen in that slot in 4 years. Some sources describe it as drawing “millions” of viewers, making it a popular and influential program.
As of March 22, 2026 (today’s date), the show has been cancelled by the SABC. The contract ends at the end of this month, with reports alleging it was due to complaints from ANC and government figures about the host’s “harsh” or tough questioning style (e.g., grilling on issues like Phala Phala). Manyathela has expressed pride in the work, stating they held power accountable.
How convenient prior to the upcoming elections.

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) would like to clarify the matter relating to SABC News programme, Face the Nation.
The SABC like any other broadcaster exercises its prerogative to change its programming, based on its operations and set guidelines. This is an industry and market standard that often takes place annually. The changes to our programming are informed by our content delivery strategy and various factors relevant to the overall performance of the show in terms of its audience ratings and revenue performance amongst others. Therefore our programmes are not automatically re-commissioned, but follow a thorough review process.
Face the Nation like all our programmes had specific performance targets which were communicated with all the relevant parties involved. It is appalling that there are individuals who are now creating an impression that this specific programme is not recommissioned due to external influence.
SABC News has over the years built a strong and reputable brand which is credible and anchored on its principles and values of impartiality and independence. Our editorial decisions are not influenced by any external stakeholder.
