@London_W4 Shot from Minder at the end of Newman Passage. My childhood sweetheart parent's ran the Coach & Horse just along the road Rathbone Place. Where my Dad working in the Post Office sorting depo now luxury flats of course.
Thought you’d like a quick history tour of the pub I’ve just had a Coca Cola in. The Newman Arms which has a fascinating history and I walk down murderer’s alley into what used to be part of St Giles Rookery, an enormous London slum in early 1800s.
The PL table the day Nuno joined the club.
I’m not blaming him at all, my frustrations will only ever lead me to one place.
But Nuno leaving would be fine by me.
And as ever, will anyone ever succeed with our current ownership?
Moyes (second time) was an anomaly.
New zebra crossing at Blackfriars Station floating bus stop. We have tried to explain to @cityoflondon why these bus stops are not safe or accessible for blind people but more are being planned. @citylordmayor can we urgently meet to discuss our concerns please. This is dangerous
@Carolyn_on_X "Get the word from Aidan Day, he picks all the hits to play" Aidan's brother Peter was a priest at my local church !! While Joe Strummer lived round the corner from the "Tower of Power"
#OTD 11 May 1979 The Clash released The Cost of Living E.P.
Fantastic artwork by Alex McDowell.
The standout track for me is the excellent cover ‘I Fought The Law’

Leandro Trossard becomes the first player in Premier League history to officially have a set of eyes in the back of his head, the PGMOL have explained;
‘No clear foul by Trossard as he has his eyes on the ball at all times, any other player it would have been a penalty.’

@London_W4 They're pretty unprofessional when it comes to being on the phone. Don't understand why Brits don't do Uber driver, don't even need that decent a motor seeing the state of some of them.
Got an uber home this evening. Yes, I realise the abuse I’ll get telling you that, but thought I’d tell you anyway. I actually know my way around London and so as he chatted on his phone in a foreign language (all uber drivers talk on the phone whilst driving you and all are foreign) I watched as he drove past the turning we needed. Ok, no problem, there was another coming up. He drove straight past that. The trouble now was that we’d have a blooming long drive going all the way round for miles, so I said, ‘for goodness sake mate, you’ve just driven past two turnings and I really don’t want to be in your car all night’. So he did a three point turn in the street and started heading back. I gave it a moment before informing him that he was now heading the wrong way up a one way street and there were cars heading towards us. So we did another three point turn and I guided him to where I wanted to go. He had a sat nav, but I’d decided that letting him rely on that was a waste of time. So anyway, journeys are always more interesting when you’ve got a completely useless driver. Cheap though.
Meet Mabel Arnold, born 1916, seen in the top left cheering on West Ham in 1974. ❤️
Her first match was in 1934 and she supported her club until she passed away in 2019 at the age of 102. She was the club’s oldest season ticket holder and she attended around 2,000 games. ⚒️

@SohoGeorge Ah, the Roundhouse. In the mid 70s it had a second bar upstairs. Used to sneak up there aged 15 and an Irish barman named Mike used to supply us with illicit pints. Good times!
