In a move to protect commuters, Pune RTO has asked citizens to report overcharging, misbehaviour or refusal to ply by auto and cab drivers through a WhatsApp complaint service. Passengers can send details on the number 8275330101 to help authorities take action against rogue drivers. Deputy Regional Transport Officer Swapnil Bhosale said notices will be issued to drivers after complaints, and fines may follow if they fail to respond. Officials also urged commuters to share vehicle number, route details or video proof to strengthen cases. The step comes as many passengers continue to face fare scams and poor service while travelling across the city.

आज चेंबूर येथील बांधकाम सुरू असलेल्या इमारतीवर घडलेली दुर्घटना अत्यंत दुर्दैवी आहे. मी स्वतः घटनास्थळाला भेट देऊन परिस्थितीची पाहणी केली.
या दुर्घटनेत मृत्युमुखी पडलेल्या कामगाराच्या कुटुंबाप्रती मी संवेदना व्यक्त करते. बांधकामाच्या ठिकाणी सुरक्षा नियमांचे उल्लंघन झाले आहे का, याची सखोल चौकशी मुंबई महानगरपालिका आणि संबंधित विभागांमार्फत केली जाईल. कामगारांच्या सुरक्षेशी तडजोड करणाऱ्या दोषींवर कठोर कारवाई करण्यात येईल.
यावेळी माझ्यासह माझे सहकारी श्री. संजय घाडी जी देखील उपस्थित होते.
