I didn't realize I should have been born in 1994 to be able to give my opinion on the original Marathon trilogy. It's not like those same games are free on Steam or that the community has created free ports so anyone can enjoy them now.

Marathon went a little too hardcore and it was one of its biggest mistakes. One thing that should have never happened is releasing a hardcore extraction shooter with no form of a safe pocket. No other game in the genre has done it. With all the hate and things working against it they should not have attempted to reinvent the wheel. I promise you if they had some form of safe pocket its outcome would be different. In this day and age where everyone cheats and exploits because they suck and hate losing you have to have a way for people to get wins even in their loses. If I was @MarathonDevTeam I would implement a safe pocket immediately for season 2

It’s always has been mostly slop. No different than before AI. Only about 10% of artists shared anything at production quality. 90% was very very basic attempts. I’ve been on panels reviewing portfolios I have seen the reality. It’s why companies had to pay for stock art subscriptions in order to get access to quality production level assets. Now, many don’t search for stock art they generate what they need when they need it. It’s not flooding anything.
