Lots of cash to send up to the mothership. 4) Why now? FICO has fallen ~39% from its 52-week high. EV is $35B and BRK could grab it in the $43B range. That's only 12% of BRK's current cash stockpile. 5) Greg Abel needs book a win to kick off the "Abel Era" at BRK. This deal pays homage to Warren, doesn't risk too much cash, and the price is right. @girdley Amazing. I did the same but only pay 12% a year, daily compounding. All allowance and gift money goes there first and must be withdrawn with a note and reason. It’s a great replacement for a dad’s trips to the ATM.

Our approach to teaching our kids about passive income was to create the "Bank of Dad." I pay 3% interest per month. They are welcome to compound, too. 10 years later, both boys are cheap as hell and make deposits almost every month. When they're 18, we stop the interest. We do it all on a google sheet.
