I'm sure most people are looking at Lower Manhattan and Midtown, but what caught my eye is the dense line of jobs along 125th Street in Harlem.
Really helps make the case for extending the Q Line westward to Browdway. And maybe doubling down on the previous upzoning?

It's weird how people claim the newer skyscrapers are obscuring the Empire State Building, because I'm constantly noticing it from fresh new perspectives whenever I'm strolling around Midtown.
Maybe the NIMBYs just need to walk around more?

@MandyKnowsDC Need is the key word here, a person driving to work when they don’t have to isn’t “need”. If a city deems that the space is better used for outdoor dining or bike lanes or bus lanes than so be it. Just my take.

@BobScheurle @ReichNow Again it looks like most fans won’t be coming from suburbs and it will be from NYC. The logistics of this game is likely different than other regular games. I also hear the parking lots is being used for events and security. Just from what I see online.

Why not make an agreement with Amtrak/NY to send World Cup riders to the Moynihan Concourse and keep NJ Transit commuters at the 7th and 8th Ave concourses or vice versa? Use Tracks 1-4 and the old concourse for one set of riders and 5 and up (at Moynihan) for the other?

@notchrisvolpe @MTA reducing traffic for the region, allowing space for bikes, buses, etc. We need dedicated bus lanes for buses to move faster which is DOT. I think it’s a net positive. Again, go tell the MTA.

Busses are still the slowest in the nation by far. They’ve improved 1mph.
We’re running less subway service than we did 10 years ago.

@notchrisvolpe @MTA Looks like it’s 14, 15, 11. Not ideal but also not terrible. Saying congestion pricing isn’t doing anything when it’s reduced traffic & emissions in the city and allowed for roads to be used for other transit modes is crazy. Also many elevators for accessibility been installed.

@danliu NYC needs to get costs under control but keeping mind NYC has not taken care of its transit until recently than it makes more sense. It’s also flying through accessibility projects and funding expansions.
