The best thing ANY engineer/programmer can do right now is learn how to become a top 1% marketer For 20 years, the engineer was the most important person in the room. They had the rarest skill. They could build the thing. Everyone else had to wait for them. Claude Mythos and the models coming after it are ending that era The new scarcity is the person who can look at a human being and understand exactly what they need to hear to take action. What makes someone click buy at 11pm. What makes someone tell a friend. What makes a stranger feel like a product was built specifically for them That is a completely different muscle than writing code or architecting systems Study why TBPN built a brand silicon valley is obsessed with. Learn why the headline is 80 cents of every dollar. Figure out why one subject line gets 40% open rates and the next one gets ignored Most engineers have never trained this muscle. They are world class at clearly defined problems. Marketing is the opposite. Fuzzy. Emotional. Irrational. The engineer who trains it becomes the most dangerous person in any room The CTO/CMO combo is the most valuable human in tech right now and almost nobody has both Computer Science school in 2026 should basically be part technical knowledge/part marketing knowledge I really think that... The best thing any engineer can do right now is learn how to become a top 1% marketer

Uusin data tukee aiempaa ennustetta: Anthropicin liikevaihto räjähti 🚀 Kirjoitin äskettäin datakeskusten kultakaivosanalogiasta ja laskennan pullonkaulasta. Nyt saatiin tuoretta dataa. Anthropicin vuotuinen liikevaihto (ARR) on nyt 30 miljardia dollaria. Vuoden vaihteessa se oli 9 miljardia. Kolminkertaistuminen kolmessa kuukaudessa.

🚨👇 ------------ Tekoälyn infrastruktuuribuumi on herättänyt sijoittajissa ristiriitaisia tunteita. Datakeskukset toimivat samalla logiikalla. Eroja toki on. Kysyntä kasvaa tarjontaa nopeammin AI-mallien kehitystahti kiihtyi dramaattisesti vuoden 2025 aikana. Sama kehitys jatkuu vuonna 2026. GPU-vuokrahintojen nousu on vasta alkusoitto.

Working in finance will make you realize just how many people use work as a form of escape from their personal lives For a lot of people, work is the only aspect of their life that they have full control over. They are good at the job and can control the outcome The outside world is vague and requires ambiguity. People who tend to be control freaks are unable to handle that well

Great men of history had little to no introspection. The personality that builds empires is not the same personality that sits around quietly questioning itself. @pmarca and I discuss what we both noticed but no one talks about: David: You don't have any levels of introspection? Marc: Yes, zero. As little as possible. David: Why? Marc: Move forward. Go! I found people who dwell in the past get stuck in the past. It's a real problem and it's a problem at work and it's a problem at home. David: So I've read 400 biographies of history’s greatest entrepreneurs and someone asked me what the most surprising thing I’ve learned from this was [and I answered] they have little or zero introspection. Sam Walton didn't wake up thinking about his internal self. He just woke up and was like: I like building Walmart. I'm going to keep building Walmart. I'm going to make more Walmarts. And he just kept doing it over and over again. Marc: If you go back 400 years ago it never would've occurred to anybody to be introspective. All of the modern conceptions around introspection and therapy, and all the things that kind of result from that are, a kind of a manufacture of the 1910s, 1920s. Great men of history didn't sit around doing this stuff. The individual runs and does all these things and builds things and builds empires and builds companies and builds technology. And then this kind of this kind of guilt based whammy kind of showed up from Europe. A lot of it from Vienna in 1910, 1920s, Freud and all that entire movement. And kind of turned all that inward and basically said, okay, now we need to basically second guess the individual. We need to criticize the individual. The individual needs to self criticize. The individual needs to feel guilt, needs to look backwards, needs to dwell in the past. It never resonated with me.

🚨 Do you understand what JPMorgan just told Meta? "Fire 14,000 people.. Save $5 billion." > The same Wall Street that told companies to "invest in your people" for 20 years just put a price tag on every employee at Meta. $357,000 per head. That's what your loyalty is worth to a bank. Meanwhile Meta is spending $27 billion on AI this year. The math isn't even hiding anymore: > Fire humans. $5B saved. > Buy AI. $27B spent. They're swapping the workforce. > Last year Atlassian cut 500 people and the stock went up. Amazon fired 27,000 and hit all-time highs. Every time a company fires people, Wall Street throws a party. Your job isn't being eliminated by AI... It's being eliminated by a JPMorgan analyst who's never written a line of code in his life telling your CEO that you're a line item... And the analyst job is safe. For now.
