I absolutely understand this position. However…this could result in assault charges (or even murder, god forbid) as well as a lawsuit. That’s unfortunately the world we live in. In April of this year, Colorado, Florida, Texas, and West Virginia changed what SNAP/EBT covers and more and more of these videos of ungrateful people keep getting posted - I love every one of them 😎 When I was a kid, people on food stamps had to physically go to the welfare office (it was called the "social service" office back then...) and physically pick up their food stamps. They were actual pieces of paper that looked distinct from real money and the users would have to pull them out to pay. I remember my friends discussing how embarrassing it was to be with their mom when she'd pull them out. That was a good thing. It was a motivating factor to get off them. Now, they just look like credit cards or they're on a phone app. I don't think these programs should exist at the federal level as they're unconstitutional but if we are going to have them we should return to the old system. Make people show up in person to pick them up. That alone would likely decrease use dramatically as most (not all) recipients are EXTREMELY lazy people and just won't do it. The fact that this woman (and many more like her....) recorded her entitled reaction speaks volumes. The Nighthawk Custom Shop is where we work on non-Nighthawk 1911s like this 1946 Argentine Modelo 1927 (sometimes called the “Sistema Colt”). It’s a licensed copy of the Colt 1911A1, produced for the Argentine Army using original Colt machinery and blueprints. Marked “Ejército Argentino” and chambered in 11.25mm (.45 ACP), these pistols earned a reputation for quality that closely mirrored their American-made counterparts. Our custom shop did a full reliability tune and polish on all the internals, tightened slide to frame fit, fit a match-grade barrel bushing and plug and flush cut a reverse crown on the barrel, we did a match trigger job, fit a retro-style spur hammer to pair with a new higher-cut beaver tail for improved ergonomics, added serrations on the front strap and rear mainspring housing, cut in French borders, and refinished the pistol in Smoked Nitride…among other things.

Although we don’t yet have the details about the motives behind last night's shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, it’s incumbent upon all us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy. It’s also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that U.S. Secret Service Agents show every day. I’m grateful to them – and thankful that the agent who was shot is going to be okay.

I have seen the movie. It is fine as entertainment, but it reflects a very specific period, not the Saudi Arabia people know today. At that time, Saudi Arabia was also under attack from Al-Qaeda and terrorist groups. We suffered from them directly, maybe more than many people in the West realize. Saudi soldiers were killed, Saudi families were hurt, buildings were attacked, and the country paid a heavy price fighting those people. The problem is that we were never as strong as the West in telling our side of the story through media. So many people missed the fact that Saudi Arabia and the Gulf were among the first victims of terrorism, not supporters of it. Also, just to be clear, I have never seen American soldiers running local crime scenes or investigations in Saudi Arabia. Yes, we buy weapons and training from the US because they are the best in many areas, and they are our allies. But that does not mean they run our country. Saudi Arabia has changed a lot since that period. The picture today is completely different. And honestly, I respect America and the American mindset, but Saudi Arabia should not be judged forever through an old Hollywood lens.
