Happy Veterans Day! Also, as it happened, my mom would have been 95 today. I grew up on military bases. Until I was about five or six, I thought the parades were for her birthday.

It's become pretty clear that Senate Democrats pulled off a historic feat in holding 4/5 swing state Senate races. Only one time in the past 20 years has a party won a state's Senate seat the same night the other party flipped the state at the presidential level. And since 1992, no party has done it more than three times in one night. In 2024, Democrats did it four times — Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, Wisconsin.

I have a friend who is undocumented. One day he looked outside and saw his neighbor's house was on fire. He called 911 and then ran over and pulled his neighbor and her dog out of the house. Trump will deport him though.
