I got rid of my heat pump one as it it took so long to try anything, so yes in theory it used less energy but because it took so long it used to be on for hours. Swapped back to a ‘normal’ one & it dries everything in 45mins & when I looked the energy cost was cheaper!

@DeborahMeaden @SeddSezz Not banning tumble driers, just phasing out inefficient vented/condensing ones in favour of heat pump ones. I have a heat pump, not significantly more expensive but so much cheaper to run

@piznizzle @British_Airways EasyJet have been playing this one too. ‘Please get to the airport 3hrs before’ you get there & you can’t bag drop, therefore, chaos as 100s of people turn up early. I think they have to post the 3hrs thing to cover their back so if you miss the flight they aren’t liable

@British_Airways Hi Chris. Why does it say 1325 Check In Open then? You have problems with ESS so the check in should be open now. Please clarify this now as you are lying to 150 passengers

Hi @British_Airways Your check in at Lisbon said it open3d 10 mins ago. Still no one here, and only one chexk in desk for the whole flight. You are fully aware of ESS problems causing delays, so I fail to understand your approach to keeping customers waiting.

@easyJet @demube But @easyjet you don’t open your bag drop until 2 hours before therefore you end up with 100s of people turning up an hour before they can proceed and let me tell you, your ground staff are not happy about it!!

@Paulaspen27 @easyJet @demube No, have flown a couple of times and the bag drop is still 2 hours before. When everyone turns up 3 hours before the ground staff at various airports get quite stressed has the have hundreds of people now standing waiting!

@easyJet @demube When we fly from Faro bag drop only opens 2 hours before flight. Faro has the same situation. Will you open bag drop earlier ?

@easyJet @demube The advice is to turn up three hours before a flight but here at Madrid there is no-one at the easyJet baggage check in. It seems that, even though easyJet wants to divorce itself of any responsibility, they are part of the problem by continuing with a two hour window.

Yes, but that doesn’t help me if I can’t check my bag in any earlier does it as I can’t proceed through passport control or security until I’ve dropped the bags? You’ve now just 100s of people clogging up bag drop
