NCC Directorate (UP) held an Investiture Ceremony at Jan Bhawan, Lucknow, honouring 127 cadets from 11 groups for outstanding RDC-2026 performance. Hon’ble Governor Anandiben Patel awarded medals, praising discipline, leadership, cultural excellence, youth exchange achievements.

India-Mauritius bilateral cooperation to expand youth development and capacity-building framework! Mrs. Dhanita Ramdharee, Deputy Permanent Secretary to Ministry of Youth and Sports, Government of Mauritius, along-with Mr. Darmalingum Mootien, Advisor, and Mr. Rajcoomar Seebah, Deputy Commissioner of Police, visited the NCC Officers Training Academy, Kamptee. They were exposed to the ‘Training of NCC Trainers’ which helps build a strong framework of leadership, youth empowerment and nation-building through the NCC. The delegation was briefed on academy’s comprehensive training framework and its pivotal role in empowering of Associate NCC Officers to facilitate shaping disciplined and responsible youth. The team witnessed training activities, gaining first-hand insight into the functioning and ethos of the academy. The delegation acknowledged professionalism and dedication displayed by NCC OTA, Kamptee, in its role as a model for youth development. Lt Gen Virendra Vats, YSM, SM, VSM has assumed charge as the 35th Director General of the National Cadet Corps. Commissioned into the 19 KUMAON Regiment of the Indian Army on 17 Dec 1988, the General Officer is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Defence Services Staff College , Wellington, College of Defence Management, Secunderabad and the National Defence College, New Delhi.
