India is Top 9 in the Global Forest Assessment 2025 🌳🌲 Here is a reason to rejoice for all Indians. We have achieved 9th rank in terms of forest area at the global level as compared to 10th spot in the previous assessment. We have also maintained our 3rd position globally in terms of annual gain. Global Forest Resource Assessment (GFRA) 2025 has been launched by FAO in Bali. The achievement comes on the back of Modi government's planning and policies for protection and enhancement of the forest and massive plantation efforts by State Governments. PM Shri @narendramodi ji’s call to plant 'Ek Ped Ma ke Naam', and push for environmental consciousness are building awareness and increasing involvement of communities and individuals for afforestation. This will ensure a greener tomorrow for generations to come.

Chaired a meeting on Delhi-NCR air quality in Delhi today with @CAQM_Official, Delhi Government, NCR States and other concerned agencies. Reviewed the action being taken for prevention and control of air pollution in Delhi and NCR, including installation of Online Continuous Emission Monitoring Station and its monitoring, installation of Air Pollution Control Devices, collection and disposal of waste through Integrated Management Plan as well as enhancing the network of Mechanised Road Sweepers and other related issues. Emphasis was also laid on greening of Delhi and NCR by undertaking plantations under Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign in mission mode. We remain committed to taking all measures in partnership with all stakeholders and citizens for improving the air quality in the country especially in Delhi-NCR and adjoining areas.
