The police have arrested what appear to be peaceful republican protesters in Trafalgar Square. It’s in everybody’s interests, especially the Met’s, that they explain exactly why as soon as possible. No matter what you think about monarchy, this is a deeply disturbing moment.

@JessBlakeOT Solidarity with you from a fellow OT - if there were sufficient services to support rehab outside of an acute hospital, you wouldn’t need to suggest rehab in hosp. Imagine flippantly thinking it is okay for person leave their home for long term care in the name of “flow”.

I've made myself unpopular with some staff this week by suggesting a patient should receive further rehab in hospital to help them return home rather than be moved into long term care. I was told I was contributing to the nhs crisis by doing this 😥

#OTHacks not sitting well with me now - seeing very little explanation of professional reasoning behind “hack/intervention”. Playing into the stereotype that we dole out equipment etc. willy nilly without the complex thought involved. #OTWeek2022

@BritishGas @BritishGasHelp 3rd time staying in for boiler service today and engineer hasn’t arrived. Rearranged previously (after visit due) due to emergency call-outs. No contact as yet today. Really poor service considering how much we’re paying for fuel!!

@OTStefD I had the same issue with my dad, no one available to deal with the issue, so the nurse got involved. Took a week to get the equipment installed, so he spent an unnecessary week in hospital, clogging up a bed.

Why is an ED nurse on #Casualty trying to source a care package for a fast-track gent? Also, equipment not able to be delivered for a few days? Get a #socialworker and #occupationaltherapist involved! #MDT

@jack_holroyde @CByford97 Completely disagree with this, sorry. There are plenty of opportunities to demonstrate this outside of lunch. Placement is hard - stressful, cognitively demanding. Some students may need half an hour on their own to give themselves a rest ready to get going in the afternoon.

I just finished my placement and one of my comments was ‘join in with the conversations at lunch a bit more’ I’m sorry this is my only 30 minutes to sit and do my own thing in 8.5 hours?? Like what
