@TERR1F1ER @ThoughtCrimes80 Servers are taxed on 15% gratuity as income tax whether you left them that much or not. Plus, most servers have to tip out a percentage of the tip to the house (bartender, busboy, etc). This is why places are insisting on tips, because the government does.

@0xPhaed @biemelneus @CollinRugg Then why do some cultures embrace cannibalism? If your morality was innate, wouldn’t they “know” that it’s wrong?

@biemelneus @CollinRugg No, an innate sense of morality. Some have it more developed than others, but there is a base state to it.

Woman walks off after trying to corner a Christian by asking him why he needs Christianity to know that killing someone is wrong. Woman: “Do you really need your religion to tell maybe you shouldn't kill people? Do you really need a book to tell you that?” Christian: “Why shouldn’t I kill someone?” Woman: “Why… why… I don’t… I… taking a life is not a good thing.” Christian: “That’s what the claim is… tell me why.” Woman: “I feel like taking someone’s life is not a good thing.” Video: @ModernDayDebate

@Mim_maryamhn @iocopocomaioco Women telling trans women “No” does not disrespect the dignity of anyone. Some men just need to learn to take no for an answer.

@iocopocomaioco Dismissing the identities of trans people is harmful. The goal should be to find solutions that uphold the integrity of women's sports while respecting the dignity of every individual.

Many congratulations to Jammie Booker, who has won the World’s Strongest Woman competition in Arlington, Texas. The fact Jammie is a biological male with a massive physical advantage over the actual women competing shouldn’t detract from this well-earned victory! 👏👏👏

@PionPuddles @1778Barrett @allenanalysis The military got paid mid-month by some creative accounting, but there's no money to pay them this week. The "donation" would work out to about $75 each.

Gallego just dropped a nuke: “How can I negotiate? The president’s in Asia for five days. Johnson’s keeping the House out until January to protect pedophiles. So who am I negotiating with?” That’s an obituary for congressional leadership.

@1778Barrett @allenanalysis I agree they should have done that. I'm actually a worker not being paid. Doesn't change the fact that at this point the current CR is all but useless. The House needs to be in DC working. They're still getting paid and not working while our troops are working & not getting paid.

@theisabelb I am so happy for Neeza that he found God and learned to love himself for who he was made to be. My only disagreement is when he claimed that Catholicism is the one true church. Religion is man finding God on man’s terms. Faith is man finding God on God’s terms.

"I was actually getting flooded with messages from pastors saying that I couldn't seek God by living in my identity as a man--that I would better suit Jesus if I was pretending to be a woman still. A large part of American Christianity is more focused on getting their political opinions out rather than actually pastoring people toward salvation." Neeza Powers has a shocking testimony encountering Jesus and the Church as a detransitioner reconnecting with his male identity 👀

@LutheranTiger @highlandgirl11 @SarahisCensored The Bible says that if you believe that Jesus is Lord and that he was resurrected by God, you were saved. Romans 10:9. Why do you think your religion usurps the Bible and gets to decide who is, or isn’t, Christian?

Christianity and mormonism are not the same. Mormons- - Rejects the traditional Trinity. God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are distinct beings, united in purpose but not in substance. - God the Father (Elohim) has a physical, exalted body of flesh and bone. Jesus (Jehovah) and the Holy Spirit are separate beings, with Jesus also having a glorified body. - Teaches that God was once a man who progressed to godhood, and humans can potentially become gods of their own worlds (doctrine of exaltation). - Accepts the Bible (King James Version preferred) as scripture but believes it contains errors and is incomplete. - Additional scriptures include the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price, considered divinely inspired. - Believes in ongoing revelation through living prophets, with the President of the Church as a modern-day prophet. - Jesus is a pre-existent spirit child of God the Father and a heavenly mother, the literal brother of all humans and angels (including Lucifer). - Salvation has two aspects: - **General salvation**: Resurrection for all through Christ’s atonement. - **Exaltation**: Eternal life in the highest (Celestial) kingdom, achieved through faith, repentance, baptism, ordinances (e.g., temple endowments), and obedience to LDS laws. - Emphasizes works alongside faith, including adherence to LDS ordinances and covenants. - Humans are eternal spirit children of God, pre-existing in a premortal state before earthly life. - The purpose of life is to progress toward godhood (exaltation) through obedience and ordinances. - After death, souls go to the spirit world, then face final judgment, with most assigned to one of three kingdoms (Celestial, Terrestrial, Telestial) or, rarely, outer darkness. - Claims exclusive authority through a restored priesthood (Melchizedek and Aaronic), passed down from Joseph Smith. - Essential ordinances include baptism, confirmation, temple endowment, and celestial marriage, necessary for exaltation. - Proxy ordinances (e.g., baptism for the dead) allow salvation for deceased ancestors. - Views itself as the restored true church, believing other Christian denominations lack the fullness of the gospel and proper authority. - Acknowledges truth in other faiths but considers them incomplete without LDS revelations and ordinances. NONE OF THESE BELIEFS are biblical and some are even blasphemous to the One True God. None of these beliefs are compatible with Christianity. Do not conflate the two. If you don’t like that I unapologetically tell the truth on my page, feel free to unfollow.

@MTCason @ItsGauchismo @bennyjohnson If that were the case, then Catholics wouldn’t be Christian’s either because they have their own version of the Bible with added chapters that are equal to all the others.

@ItsGauchismo @bennyjohnson Christianity requires a belief in 'solo scriptura' or 'sola scriptura'. The Scripture alone, or the Scripture with the acknowledgement that other holy texts are subordinate to it. Not equal with it. Again, this does not diminish the tragedy one bit but they are not Christians.

We should be clear about who Charlie Kirk was: a man who believed that the Civil Rights Act that granted Black Americans the right to vote was a “mistake,” who after the violent attack on Paul Pelosi claimed that “some amazing patriot out there” should bail out his assailant, and accused Jews of controlling “not just the colleges – it’s the nonprofits, it’s the movies, it’s Hollywood, it’s all of it.” His rhetoric and beliefs were ignorant and sought to disenfranchise millions of Americans – far from “working tirelessly to promote unity” as asserted by the majority in this resolution.” We can condemn his horrific assassination and the scourge of political violence without uplifting these ideas.
CSPAN@cspan

.@RepAOC @AOC on House-passed resolution honoring the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk: "Instead of uniting Congress in this tragedy with one of the many bipartisan options to condemn political violence and Kirk's murder, as we did with the late Melissa Hortman, instead the majority proceeded with a resolution that brings great pain to the millions of Americans who endured segregation, Jim Crow and the legacy of bigotry today."

Can someone please explain to me why we can’t have an opinion on St Charlie, but Alex Jones led a conspiracy theory about innocent dead kids who got slaughtered in school, to the point that some parents actually had to move out of their homes and people URINATED on their graves, is a free man to say whatever he wants. Explain this to me like we live in America which was founded on freedoms.
