@RailfutureEMids The real conundrum for both lines would be how Leicester station's 4 platforms could cope with additional services, save building an upper deck over MML to the immediate south of the existing station where trains could terminate

@RailfutureEMids I support and want to see reopening, but:
1. Why is the focus on reopening the currently closed section (Coalville-Burton) which has limited pass demand?
2. What discussions have taken place as to options for the loss of the north curve at Knighton Jct?

One of our campaign priorities is the reopening to passenger services of the Ivanhoe Line between Leicester and Burton-upon-Trent. Rail freight is important, but Coalville people will be happier waiting at this level crossing for a train they might catch themselves!
