We also need to push journey ideas to people. 60% of respondents told us they’re actively looking for new places to go by train. When we combine better visibility with smart, timely inspiration — we help people book. It’s already happening. We supported the #GreatBritishRailSale through our app. We’ve helped launch Daytripper on @RealtimeTrains. It works. This is a practical way to boost rail revenue, increase leisure travel, and reduce car use — without asking the Treasury for anything. Quite a niche piece of trivia, perhaps, but wheel-worked crossings are rare enough nowadays. Sleaford West must be unique in also having regular parallel moves signalled over it! It must look odd to waiting motorists, one train seeming to chase another, only a few seconds behind.
