@PalmerLuckey I was really bummed that they didn’t make “The London Heist” into a full game. It had a lot of potential and it was cool feeling like you’re in the middle of “Snatch” or “Lock, Stock, & Two Smoking Barrels”

~10 years ago, back in 2014, Sony announced Project Morpheus (later Playstation VR). There was a spirit of intense competition, but also collaboration - Oculus and Sony always swapped demos. Sony actually paid for all the indie game dev booths at the Tokyo Game Show for many years, even ones that had nothing to do with Playstation. Even the ones who were only on competing platforms like Oculus! That is just the kind of guy @yosp was.

I don't think I'll ever trust Chinese hardware when their products can contain spyware chips that cannot be defended against. These are smaller than the lead of a pencil, and about the size of a small SMD capacitor or resistor on a board. A lot of sensitive hardware is on the U.S. Entity List and the export bans list. Even though it hasn't been definitively proven to be the case that this hacking chip is real, there have been documented cases of Chinese-made IoT devices "calling home" and sending packets of data to an unknown remote server in China. Although they say that it's all in the firmware/software level, I just don't trust it when a known vector exists beyond root-level hardware hijacking, dual-use chip microphones, and various other things. The part that drives my skepticism up the most is that China’s National Intelligence Law obligates companies to assist state intelligence when asked... and they have NO option to opt-out.

When I got my wheel/pedal setup this year I tried almost every VR racing game I could, trying to find the perfect arcade racer. In the end I was pretty happy with Assetto Corsa, but it wasn’t “it” @FlatoutVR is definitely “it”. 100% justified buying the wheel just for this game

It is insane that America has given a monopoly on letter delivery to a quasi-governmental agency that then uses it to flood our homes with useless garbage against our will. America would never allow FedEx, UPS, DHL, or anyone else to force this on us.

It is time for the United States Postal Service to ban junk mail. Unsolicited spam calls are already prohibited by the FCC. Emails are heavily regulated by the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003. Junk mail is the majority of mail, 100 million trees per year. Enough!
