Punjabi singer Bir Singh apologized for the mistake that happened recently in Srinagar, where he sang Punjabi songs during a program commemorating the 350th Martyrdom Centenary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. Bir Singh said that throughout his singing career, he has always sung clean and respectful songs. He also mentioned that he had come directly from Australia to Srinagar, and upon reaching there, his phone network and other services stopped working. The biggest mistake, he admitted, was on the part of his management team, who did not provide him with the correct details about this program. Bir Singh further said, “I accept this mistake of mine. I have dismissed that management team and will never work with them again in the future. Moreover, for any future programs dedicated to Guru Sahib’s history, we will ensure proper decorum is maintained.” He humbly requested the Akal Takht Sahib, Jathedar Sahib, and the entire Sikh community to forgive him for this mistake. “Whatever service you consider appropriate, I am ready to accept,” he added. “I am a humble Sikh, and I believe the Guru Sahib and the Sikh sangat are forgiving.
